President Trump is about to make the most consequential decision of his presidency: Whether or not to shutter the government over a lack of funding for a border wall.
The stakes are higher than ever
President Trump’s entire presidential campaign was predicated on one thing: Building a wall along the southern border to curtail illegal immigration. Trump also ran on renegotiating our trade agreements, not starting any more wars in the Middle East, and routing the corruption in Washington. But, more than anything, he campaigned as an immigration hawk. His tagline was “build the wall.”

With the government set to close Friday at midnight, this is Trump’s last chance to force a Republican Congress into funding his border wall. But already, Senate Republicans have passed a measure keeping the government open until February – well into the time Nancy Pelosi will be Speaker. It’s all up to House Republicans now
Now it’s up to House Republicans: Either they stay strong and fight for the border wall funding, or they fold and give Democrats everything.

Senate has unanimously passed govt funding. No roll call vote. The entire chamber has agreed that it wants to punt funding until 2/8

Now, House is getting ready to figure out what it wants to do. I have very little doubt that this bill will have 218 votes. But it will be mostly Democrats.

Trump’s big decision
The White House indicated earlier this week it was fine with yet another short-term spending package to delay the wall fight. (RELATED: John Cornyn Confirms Trump Will Sign Spending Deal Without Wall.) But, now the White House has been silent on whether or not it’s willing to sign the latest spending measure.

Trump’s entire presidency rides on this moment. He’ll never have this chance again. A Democrat-controlled House means no wall, ever.

Chuck et al. know that if Trump gets the wall, he is a sho-in for 2020. That’s why he and Nancy are so opposed to it. It’s all politics at its lowest level.
Don’t let the Democrats and the turncoat phony Republicans win! Finance the wall privately This could include individuals, corporations or industries as investors. The investors will own it, make it a border toll wall to pay back the investors. The Country could pay off the debt over a set number of years. Every person crossing the border on foot, or by vehicle would be required to pay a toll rate per person; commercial vehicles will pay by weight or product. It will be the responsibility of the Feds to provide security at the gate. So the USA people would still be in charge of who enters their country or doesn’t enter, but the investors will own the wall and any revenues therefrom until such time as the Country decides to pay off the debt and take over ownership.
It’s not his fault that they’re a bunch snakes on the Democrat side of the aisle.
This is not about whether Trump succeeds winning the argument in Congress it about whether he stands up to Congress and make them take a stand for or against building a wall to protect American sovereignty and the American citizens over illegal alien invaders.

If President Trump forces a vote in Congress and loses we the American citizens who supported him will continue to support him as long as he continues to fight the good fight, it is no different than a soldier being wounded in battle and returns to fight another day.

Of COURSE the GUTLESS RINOS in Congress want to push the vote off until Feb. 8th. Then they can sit on their fat, overpaid, USELESS FANNIES and whine, “Well, we WANTED to pass funding for the walls, but we don’t have the votes, and the Democrats wouldn’t let us!”

The president said he would be HAPPY to shut it down if he didn`t receive the funding. The people don`t want to have to put up excuses and prove him a liar, therefore, he MUST not sign this spending bill.
