President Barack Obama had to enter into the debate about transgenders in bathrooms, and he mandated that public schools must allow anyone to use the bathroom of their choice.
This is a serious concern for parents, and a threat to public safety. But Texas is not going to put up with it!
Now, they are bringing the Obama White House to court:
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is set to file a lawsuit against the Obama administrative challenging its directive on how schools need to accommodate transgender students.
Sources told WFAA, the ABC affiliate for the Dallas-Fort Worth area, that Paxton will announce the legal challenge Wednesday in Austin.
Earlier this month, Paxton hinted he would take legal action against the Justice and Education Departments after they sent a letter to schools nationwide directing them to allow transgender students to use the bathroom that corresponds with their gender identity.
“If President Obama thinks he can bully Texas schools into allowing men to have open access to girls in bathrooms, he better prepare for yet another legal fight,” he said in a reaction statement.
This comes a week after Paxton joined other Attorneys General in writing a letter condemning the policy.
Clearly, the State of Texas is more focused on public safety than “political correctness.” It’s about time to put an end to this bathroom insanity. People should use the bathroom of the gender they were born with.
