One of the biggest reasons the Midwest voted in droves for Donald Trump was his promise to keep and bring back jobs to the “Rust Belt” and other areas hurt by the downturn in American manufacturing.
Early on, Trump targeted jobs that air conditioner manufacturer Carrier was planning on moving abroad to Mexico.
Trump has made it a focus of his early transition efforts:
