Actor Chuck Norris on Monday cut a last minute campaign video on behalf of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Netanyahu faces a difficult re-election bid today.

“I watched Prime Minister Netanyahu’s speech before Congress,” Norris says in the video.  “And I saw a man who loves his country with all his heart and soul.”

He “also saw a strong leader,” something Norris explains is “absolutely crucial for the safety of the Israeli people.”

He adds, “You have an incredible country, and we want to keep it that way.”

Actor Chuck Norris on Monday endorsed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in his reelection campaign.

Norris’ endorsement came less than 24 hours before Tuesday’s election, and polls showed the prime minister is running a tight race against Isaac Herzog, his competitor from the Zionist Union party. Experts on Israeli politics say the race is too close to call.

“It is so important that you keep a leader who has the courage and vision to stand up against the evil forces that are threatening not only Israel, but also the United States,” Norris said.

Netanyahu thanked Chuck Norris via Twitter.

Adding to the all-around cool factor for this political endorsement – Norris also manages to squeeze in a mention of the movie The Delta Force, which he filmed in Israel.

Will Chuck Norris add enough of a kick to Netanyahu’s campaign to help him get re-elected?
