A Virginia mom acted quickly when an intruder broke into her home. She shot a man who broke in shortly after she put her child to sleep. The man was sent to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
The woman, who only wanted to be identified as Allie, is married to a James City County police officer. The intruder started banging on Allie’s door an hour and a half after her husband had left for work. While she ran to get her gun, the man broke in through her daughter’s playroom window.
“It was only about 30 minutes that I had her down before this all happened. She could have been in here playing and he could have busted in and fell on her or anything. All I knew is I wanted to stop him from hurting me or hurting my daughter.”
Allie was prepared, as she had trained with her husband for years. She relied on her instincts and training to protect her family and home.
