When Tim Allen’s hit sitcom “Last Man Standing” was abruptly canceled by ABC News, many suspected that the decision was political, given the conservative themes common on the show. The show garnered spectacular ratings for ABC, and the cancellation came just a week after Allen made a public comment about his support of President Trump on Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show. Ironically, Allen actually warned about the consequences of publicly supporting Trump in Hollywood during those remarks. “I’m not kidding. You gotta be real careful around here. You get beat up if you don’t believe what everybody believes.” Then he joked, “This is like ‘30s Germany. I don’t know what happened. If you’re not part of the group, ‘You know what we believe is right,’ I go, ‘Well, I might have a problem with that.’”
“Last Man Standing” was eventually picked up by Fox, which will soon air the seventh season of the show. The show will premise on Fox on September 28th, and if you’re a fan, you’ll notice a shakeup with the cast. (RELATED: Tim Allen’s ‘Last Man Standing’ to Return On Fox.)
According to Fox News; “It’s been revealed that two key cast members won’t be making the jump to the new network in Season 7. According to Deadline, series regulars Molly Ephraim and Flynn Morrison, who played Mandy and Boyd Baxter respectively on the show, have chosen not to return. Mandy is the daughter of Tim Allen’s character, while Boyd is his grandson.” Both roles will be recast.

Another actress, Kaitlyn Dever, who played Eve Baxter on the show, also may not return to the show. She’s recently signed on to join a Netflix-produced drama called “Unbelievable,” but is also in negotiations for a recurring role on “Last Man Standing,” if possible.
Every other member of the “Last Man Standing” cast is remaining with the show, including the same “behind the scenes” staff.
The show dominated the ratings at ABC – and given the excitement for its return on Fox, the network’s cancellation will prove to be a move that ABC will come to regret.

Frankly, I don’t care if he has a whole new family. I’ll still be watching. I’ve been watching Tim since Tool Time, why would I stop now? Same goes for Roseanne. Years ago, people used to be able to share their view points without being ridiculed for it. Today, everything is so petty and childish! We should go back to how we were years ago and not discuss who we were voting for at all.
Personally, I am thankful to Fox for picking up LMS and believe they are one of the last remaining bastions of hope in a Marxist dominated media landscape. I only wish the FCC had retained some of its moral compass. I don’t care what people do in their own homes or with their lives, but I do find it offensive to have some behavior beamed into mine without notice.

Although Mandy was funny as a clueless, self-absorbed, superficial millennial, neither she nor the child were central to the main themes and therefore easily removed or replaced.
