CNN’s Carol Costello was forced to apologize for laughing at Bristol Palin’s account of being assaulted several weeks ago. An emotional Bristol told police this all happened in front of her 5-year-old son.
“So we were in a limo. I walk back up. “Did you push my sister?” And some guy gets up, pushes me down on the grass, drags me across the grass. “You slut, you f—ing c—, you f—ing this.” I get back up, he pushes me down on the grass again,” Palin said, according to the recording. “And he pulls me by my f—ing feet. And he’s the one that’s leaving and I have my 5-year-old, they took my $300 sunglasses, they took my f—ing shoes, and I’m f—ing just left here?”
Costello relished in Bristol’s emotional reaction to being assaulted and robbed.
“Okay. I’m just going to come right out and say it. This is quite possibly the best minute and a half of audio we’ve ever come across – well, come across in a long time anyway. Sit back and enjoy.”
Costello’s joy in seeing a conservative woman upset after being attacked highlight not only the media bias but also the counterfeit themes of the War On Women that is pushed by many in the media. There is no concern when conservative women are attacked either with words or physically.
After several days of being criticized by conservative media, Costello finally apologized.
“Over the past few days I have been roundly criticized for joking about a brawl involving the Palin family. In retrospect, I deserve such criticism and would like to apologize,” Costello said in a statement to POLITICO.
The media has been rather protective over the Obama daughters and Chelsea Clinton, even as Clinton was a member of the media herself.

YES! Thank you Carol Costello for showing just how hypocritical you and CNN both are! Thank you for showing how you have no compassion for women! No matter what your political affiliation is, the fact that you laughed at a woman and mother getting beat is sick. This is suppose to be a nationally recognized news station and you ALL allowed this reporter to laugh at this travesty shows CNN is nothing more than a joke of a station. I get sick of hearing about how women’s rights are violated, but yet those same stations make fun of a woman getting beat with her five year old with her? Really? I have called and emailed CNN regarding this story and the total lack of human compassion by all who were involved with allowing this to air. I have not heard a thing…and I know I won’t.

Carol Costello is a sorry excuse for a journalist. How sad to watch such an unprofessional individual spread her political venom in the direction of someone who has done nothing to hurt her. It was a cheat shot and only showed how shallow Costello really is. CNN shows nothing but irresponsibility in allowing Costello to not only do what she did but letting her get away with it. Unfortunately liberals feel a sense of entitlement and honestly believe that they can do no wrong. Sad but true! It was hateful and disgusting. Wonder how she would have felt if it had been her being dragged around like this. She owes Bristol Palin a very public apology and she should be relieved of her on air duties if she cannot be unbiased in her reporting.

There’s a party going on and John Belushi is walking down the stairs while some guy is playing the guitar and singing a ridiculous song. When Belushi gets to him, he rips the guitar from his hands, smashes it to pieces against the wall, hands what’s left of the guitar back to the guy, then shrugs and softly says, “sorry!”
