California Issues Its Millionth Drivers License – To Illegal Immigrants

california illegals drivers license

California is the nation’s most populous State, and they’re looking to further increase their leftist influence on national issues. Back in January, it was reported that California would have a new law take effect on April 1st. The law was presented as a common-sense measure to make sure everyone with a driver’s license (and thus a photo ID) is registered to vote. The law in question, the “California New Motor Voter Act,” was signed into law in 2015, but its implementation was delayed until April 2018, and now registers every driver in California to vote.

After it takes effect, everyone who applies for a driver’s license in the state of California will automatically be registered to vote. Naturally, many were worried that this could open up a backdoor and allow illegal immigrants to vote. After all, if they receive licenses, and anyone with a license can vote, why wouldn’t illegals be able to vote as a result?

As of now, that isn’t yet a possibility. Under the system, the DMV electronically sends a letter with information to every license holder eligible to register to vote. The registration form needs to then be sent to the California Secretary of State’s Office, which verifies the person’s name and citizenship.

And thank God that safeguard is there, because as the Sacramento Bee reported:

More than 1 million undocumented immigrants have received driver’s licenses, the California Department of Motor Vehicles announced Wednesday.

Assembly Bill 60, authored by then-Assemblyman Luis Alejo in 2013, required California DMV offices to issue driver’s licenses to undocumented immigrants as long as they can prove their identity and residence within the state. The law has led to 1,001,000 undocumented immigrants receiving licenses as of March 31.

While concerns that this will allow illegals to vote are unfounded as of right now – it could turn into a very real possibility. After all, the State of California says they’ll be verifying the citizenship of every license holder who tries to register to vote, but who holds them accountable if they don’t?

They’re a state with a voter fraud problem already. California already has 11 counties where there were more registered voters than people. It will be interesting to see if this changes.

Even so, the Electoral College does provide something of a safeguard even if California were to add 1 million illegals to their rolls. It’s just bad news for local politics in California. Illegals are already costing the taxpayers of California $23 billion a year. How much greater do you think that figure would be if they could vote en masse for their own interests – and against the interests of the American taxpayer?

Is California doomed? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

Yeah…right..!!…illegals have been voting and electing communists in California ever since mail-in ballots were ‘devised’…as a fool-proof way for the democrat controlled jurisdictions to be able to count only those votes that they knew were for them…boxer (now retired and living like royalty),feinswine, pelosi and a whole heap of mexican communists are continually re-elected solely on the votes of illegals….

  2. Is California doomed already? California has been circling the drain for many years. The spiral is getting very small and is gaining speed.

California needs a reminder of who they really are, cut all Federal aid money and let them swim in their own sewer for a while.

The honest citizens should be preparing to make a hasty departure to a better state.

  3. Years ago my county commissioner held a meeting on the widening of the road in front of my home. When I asked how much money he had to purchase the land along the highway he said they didn’t have that amount in figures yet. I asked how much they had for the entire project and he quoted a figure. Then I asked how much they had figured for engineering and design. That pretty much covered the full amount he had. I repeated, you don’t have enough to purchase the land. And he didn’t when people along both sides of the road declined to donate their twenty foot of frontage. Next they tried to cut corners on materials and that hit the press. The entire fiasco was simply because several developers wanted a four lane road in front of their developments and were willing to support the commissioner to get it at the loss of peoples front yards.

  5. How many people work for the CA Secretary of State?
California has approximately 18 million voters. If verification averages as little as 5 minutes each that’s 1.5 million hours. Using 30 hrs of a 35 hr work week would require 50,000 work weeks or a thousand workers working 50 weeks at unrealistic productivity levels.

Even if computer matching deals with 80% of the volume, the average time to validate the remaining 20% is likely to be longer than 5 minutes and 10,000 work weeks won’t be sufficient.

Politicians love to say things people want to hear but are astonished when questioned about practical matters, especially when those practical matters have to be paid for.

  8. Fear mongering? Do you live in California or are you a Democrat? More people register to vote than live in a district? 23 billion dollars a year for illegals and we are going bankrupt. I wonder if that includes those that go to the ER because they do not have insurance and then the hospital is stuck with the bill?
