Ohio Governor John Kasich has been a thorn in the side of both conservative businessman Donald J. Trump and Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX). Despite only winning one state’s Republican presidential primary, Kasich has remained in the race, thanks to financial support from his SuperPAC’s George Soros-linked funders.
Kasich tries to present himself as the “nice guy” candidate… But a dark, family secret about his past has just been revealed!
Kasich lost his parents early in life, due to a tragic car crash. It happened in 1987 as they both pulled out of a Burger King in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, when a drunk driver hit their car.
Now, Kasich’s younger brother Richard (pictured below) is now speaking out for the first time. Richard, who suffers from mental illness, said John has refused to speak with him for two decades!
The issue dates back to a legal fight over the family’s estate. John wanted to sell the house, and he was given primary control of the property due to Richard’s diagnosed bipolar disorder. For almost 20 years afterward, John refused to ever speak to his struggling brother… And they only reunited once Richard Kasich’s wife passed away:
It was not until Andrea died in 2006 that Richard says his lawyer advised him to get back in touch with his brother, and the pair reconciled.
But while they now speak with each other, the relationship is often testy, and they have never been close in recent years.
Summing up his current relationship with his brother, Richard said: ‘He doesn’t have much to do with me, and I don’t have much to say about him.’
In response to the interview, Kasich’s election team put out a statement on behalf of the governor and his relatives.
It says: ‘We love Rick deeply and have shared the struggles that his disease brings with it.
‘As families with a loved one living with mental illness know, you take it one day at a time, and some days are better than others.
‘In the process, we have all become sensitive to and supportive of the needs of those living with this disease. Among the ways we support him is by working hard to protect his privacy, and we hope others respect that also.’

How someone treats their own family is the best test of their character. What does it say about John Kasich if he refused to speak to his troubled brother for so long? The Bible instructs us to be our “brother’s keeper”… And it’s clear John Kasich wanted nothing to do with his brother, who continues to struggle with a mental disease to this day.
