President Obama’s Seventh State of the Union has not earned him much praise. Critics charge it sounded more like a campaign speech than a speech from a statesman. Obama even reminded Americans that he won two elections. He failed to mention how his failed policies brought forth a Republican landslide in November.
Liberals are also taking note of Obama’s failures. MSNBC’s Chris Matthews and Andrea Mitchell had harsh criticism for Obama’s foreign policy. Matthews said that Obama has “overambitious notions” on ISIL. Mitchell had even harsher words for the President.
“I think that on foreign policy, his projection of success against terrorism and against ISIS in particular, as I said, is not close to reality. They have not come up with a strategy.”
Was the State of the Union close to reality?
