Trump Mocks Democrats For Being ‘Petrified’ of ‘Young Bartender’ Ocasio-Cortez

President Trump doesn’t often address the socialist from New York, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, but he took a few shots at her during an NRCC fundraising dinner Tuesday evening.

Trump used the occasion of his speech to mock Democrats for being ‘petrified’ of the ’29-year-old, young bartender’ who brought us the gift of misguided fantasy known as the Green New Deal.

“The Green New Deal,” Trump joked, “done by a young bartender, 29-years-old, a young bartender, wonderful young woman.”

He then urged his Republican colleagues not to push back too hard against the Green New Deal, noting it’s an easy platform to run against in the 2020 election.

“Don’t kill it, because we’d like to be able to run against it,” he announced.

Mocks Democrats

President Trump then pivoted toward mocking the entire Democrat establishment – including nearly every 2020 candidate running for the White House – for standing behind a policy that has a staggering projected cost of $93 trillion.

They haven’t read what she’s proposing. They just hear that Ocasio-Cortez is trying to save the world from ending in 12-years because this is supposedly our generation’s World War II, and they parrot her like a bunch of mindless dolts.

“It’s crazy … you have senators that are professionals that you guys know, that have been there for a long time, white hair, everything perfect, and they’re standing behind her,” Trump said in awe. “They’re shaking, they’re petrified.”

Trump concluded that if the resistance party runs on something like the Green New Deal and somehow win, then “I deserve to lose.”

Others Have Mocked the Young Bartender

While it is true that a majority of Democrats either running for President or with a political stake in bowing to the freshman congresswoman seem ‘petrified’ of her, those without anything to lose are calling the Green New Deal out for what it is – mindless, elementary school-level, drivel.

Patrick Moore, the co-founder of Greenpeace, blasted Ocasio-Cortez for pumping up such a radical plan while continuing to travel in gas-guzzling SUVs and airplanes.

Moore raged against her for being a “garden-variety hypocrite” and “pretending to know” things about the environment despite having “zero expertise.”

He even referred to her, rightly, as a “pompous little twit.”

Howard Schultz, former Starbucks CEO and possible independent candidate for president, took aim at the Green New Deal’s specific jobs plan which suggests even those “unwilling” to work should be provided wages.

He slammed elements of the Green New Deal as “well-intentioned” ideas but ideas that are simply “never going to happen.”

“Let’s propose things that are true, that are honest, that are sincere, and that are realistic,” Schultz implored.

Even Barack Obama took a swipe at freshman Democrats such as Ocasio-Cortez, warning them over the costs of some of their more extreme proposals.

People not exactly on the right side of the political spectrum are mocking Ocasio-Cortez’ plans, while the Democrat party shifts further to the left to support her. No wonder the President wants to keep this issue alive into 2020.
