Illegal Alien Gang Arrests Up 83 Percent Under Trump

As is the case in most countries, a significant portion of our nation’s violent crime rate is attributable to gang violence. For example, according to one estimate, 80 percent of gun homicides in America are gang related. Most gangs are ethnically homogeneous, and one Hispanic gang in particular is composed almost exclusively of illegal aliens.

Promising to start by targeting criminal illegal aliens (a bit of an oxymoron, right?), Immigration and Customs Enforcement has been targeting the El Salvador-based gang MS-13, which has an estimated 10,000 members in the U.S. Their motto is “rape, kill, control,” and they’re one of the most dangerous gangs in the U.S. The overwhelming majority of members are illegals, and according to the FBI’s 2015 National Gang Report, MS-13 is one of the top gangs involved in cross-border crimes.

We’ve reported previously on the Trump Administration’s efforts to crackdown on the gang; more specifically back in May when ICE set a record for their “largest gang surge” ever, arresting nearly 1,400 in anti-gang operations. Now the statistics for the full year are almost complete, and we can see just how successful the Trump Administration really has been on their crackdown.

According to the Daily Signal,

In a speech earlier this month, Trump said he has directed federal law enforcement to work with local police to “destroy criminal cartels, like the savages of MS-13,” and that this year there has been a 83 percent increase in arrests of MS-13 members and associates.

“I mean, somehow, I like it better than jail. Jail, we have to take care of them. Who the hell wants to take care of them? … But these are killers, these are people that are sadists in many cases. We don’t want them.”
The president also called for ending sanctuary cities, localities that refuse to assist federal immigration authorities.
“Our cities should not be sanctuaries for criminals; they should be sanctuaries for Americans,” Trump said. “It is our duty to serve the hard-working citizens of our country who raise our families, cherish our values, salute our flag, and make this land our home.”

Can you believe that “illegal immigrant gangs” are even allowed to exist in the first place? I suppose we can thank sanctuary cities for enabling that.
