The first prototypes for President Donald Trump’s border wall are being built, and while the border wall won’t be finished for another few years, it does only aim to combat half of the illegal immigration problem.

With an estimated 10-15 million illegal immigrants already in America, a combination of stopping the flow of illegals into the country and removing those already here is badly needed. While constructing the border will take years, Trump’s administration is stepping up immigration enforcement already.

Promising to start by targeting criminal illegal aliens (a bit of an oxymoron, right?), Immigration and Customs Enforcement has been targeting the El Salvador-based gang MS-13, which has an estimated 10,000 members in the U.S. Their motto is “rape, kill, control,” and they’re one of the most dangerous gangs in the U.S. The overwhelming majority of members are illegals, and according to the FBI’s 2015 National Gang Report, MS-13 is one of the top gangs involved in cross-border crimes.

ICE’s “Operation Raging Bull” has been targeting the gang, and they just released news of nearly 300 arrests as a result. According to officials today from the Department of Homeland Security and Department of Justice, the efforts of Operating Raging Bull have culminated with 267 MS-13 arrests in the U.S and overseas.

From a press release: “The operation was conducted in two phases, targeting dangerous gang members and their global financial networks. In September, ICE announced the results of the first phase of this operation which netted 53 arrests in El Salvador at the conclusion of an 18-month investigation. The second phase was conducted across the U.S. from Oct. 8 to Nov. 11, and concluded with 214 MS-13 arrests nationwide.”

Overall, according to Jeff Sessions “this year, we have secured convictions against more than 1,200 gang members and worked with our partners in Central America to arrest and charge some 4,000 MS-13 members.”

Back in May ICE set a record for their “largest gang surge” ever, arresting nearly 1,400 in anti-gang operations, recovering of 200 guns and 20,000 ounces of narcotics in the process, and they show no sign of slowing down.

When it comes to gun crime in America – guns don’t kill people, gangs do. In Chicago for instance, the land of gun control and endless gun violence, 80 percent of homicides are gang-on-gang violence. A bit bizarre that taking criminal illegal aliens off the streets is the one gun control policy no liberal seems to support, isn’t it?
