Trump to CNN Reporter: “You Ask a Lot of Stupid Questions”

Whatever patience President Donald Trump had for CNN has clearly been exhausted. After a headline-grabbing heated exchange with CNN’s Chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta earlier in the week, Trump roasted another CNN reporter. She made the mistake of asking Trump about the Mueller investigation when Trump was discussing the Thousands Oaks shooting that killed 12.

CNN’s Abby Philip asked, “Do you expect Matt Whitaker to be involved in the Russia probe?” Whitaker is Jeff Sessions’ replacement as Attorney General. In response to Philip’s question, Trump replied that whether or not Whitaker wants to be involved in the probe is up to him.

Philips followed that up by asking “Do you want him to rein in Robert Mueller?”

That’s when Trump showed the fake news what he thought about the question.

“What a stupid question that is. What a stupid question. But I watch yo a lot, and you ask a lot of stupid questions.”

Watch this incredible moment:

Will Trump revoke more press passes?

Jim Acosta’s White House press credentials were suspended following his physical altercation with a female White House aide after his heated exchange with Trump. More could be soon to come.

After the exchange with Abby Philip, Trump threatened as much.

After being asked how long Acosta’s suspension last for, Trump said: “Haven’t made that decision, but it could be others also.” He added, “I think Jim Acosta is a very unprofessional man. He does this with everybody. He gets paid to do that … He’s a very unprofessional guy. Whether it was with me or Ronald Reagan, he would have done the same thing. I don’t think he’s a smart person, but he’s got a loud voice.”

Trump also attacked CNN’s April Ryan, whom he had to tell to sit down during the same press conference as the Acosta incident.

“It’s the same thing with April Ryan. You talk about somebody who’s a loser. She doesn’t know what the hell she’s doing. She gets publicity, and then she gets a pay raise, or she gets a contract with, I think, CNN. But she’s very nasty, and she shouldn’t be.”

In response to Acosta losing his press credentials, the Boston Globe’s editorial board called for a White House press walkout in protest of Trump earlier today.

Hopefully, they stay out, too.
