The Left Goes Nuts After Country Star Travis Tritt Cancels Shows That Require Masks And Mandates

Popular country star Travis Tritt is canceling concerts at venues that require mask mandates or vaccine passports.

The country legend says he’s “not against the vaccine,” but he is “against forcing people to take medicine that they may not need and may not want.”

Tritt’s decision caused a furor among the left – with many attacking him or his position on COVID mandates.

Tritt: ‘I Got Literally Hundreds Of Comments And Direct Messages’

Billboard reported Tuesday, “Country singer Travis Tritt is ready to take a hard stance against COVID-19 vaccine and testing mandates at concerts, and announced Monday (Oct. 18) he’s even going so far as to cancel four shows making those requirements.”

“Tritt says the negative comments he received after performing shows with COVID-19 safety protocols on the Brooks & Dunn Reboot Tour convinced him to do things differently for his solo dates,” Billboard noted.

“I got literally hundreds of comments and direct messages from people on all social media platforms, which basically told me how disappointed they were,” Tritt said. “They were heartbreaking.”

But those weren’t the only messages Tritt received for his decision. His detractors came out in droves.

The Left Mocks Tritt

Tritt also got plenty of critical comments from the left after this story broke.

Former CNN fixture Ronald Martin called Tritt a “dumbass.”

NPR figure David Gura mocked Tritt using one of his hits.

This blue commenter called him an “old fool” and “anti-vaxer,” and implied that Tritt would soon die from COVID.

Another called Tritt “ignorant.”

Writer Tony Posnanski made fun of Tritt’s success.

This person called Tritt an “insufferable jerk.”

Tritt Voted For Trump

For anyone who is wondering, Tritt voted for Donald Trump and also vowed to vote Republican and conservative in the 2020 election.

Outsider reported on November 3, 2020, “Travis Tritt said the choice in the presidential election is clear. The country singer said Americans can either vote for a party that will ‘strip’ them of their freedoms or ‘defend and preserve’ their freedoms.”

“Tritt said he plans to vote both Republican and conservative in the election today (Nov. 3). He urged his followers on Twitter to do the same,” the outlet noted.

Tritt tweeted at the time, “Today, the choices for Americans are quite clear. You can choose radical left-wing socialism which will strip you of your individual freedoms or Constitutional conservatism, which will defend and preserve your freedoms.”

“I’m voting red all the way down the ticket,” the country legend added.
