Paul Ryan Blames THIS Huge Policy For The Republican Loss In 2012!

Forgive me for being cynical but I am tired of lip service and the apologizes behind it. Republicans should not just reach out to minorities during the election cycle, they should make it a daily mission. I keep hearing about this “big tent” but I have gotten to the point where I believe that’s all mouth service.

The GOP 2012 nomination team of Governor Mitt Romney and Congressman Paul Ryan had an opportunity to defeat Barack Obama but they didn’t want to and I say that with prejudice!

So when I heard House Speaker Ryan say on Sunday’s CBS “Face The Nation” he regrets that they didn’t reach out to minorities in 2012, now you know where my anger comes from.

From Face the Nation:

“My goal — I don’t know how far it will go given the fact we have a filibuster and a guy named Obama whose not going to replace ObamaCare — but my goal is that we as Republicans who don’t like these laws, don’t like the direction of the country, I think we have to be more than just an opposition party,” Ryan said. “We have to be a proposition party.”

“So if we don’t like this, we have to show how we’d do things differently,” Ryan continued. “And ObamaCare is failing, whether its premiums, restricted access, higher deductibles, families losing the insurance they want to keep. People are hurting, and we need to offer a solution. So yes, on this and many other issues, we need to offer an alternative and that’s exactly what I intend on having us do.”

“I think we need to do that,” Ryan said. I think it’s a mistake that’s been made. We’ve got to go and compete for the minds and hearts and the votes of everybody in this country no matter who they are. I think what we’ve had is one party takes a group of people for granted, and the other party has not paid attention to them.”

Like I said it’s lip service and I don’t accept it and neither should any minority. You want to fix things, do something about it. Get out into the communities, Walk and talk amongst the disgruntled. Make it your choice to help change the environment between the GOP and minorities and do it with zeal and passion.

That’s how you win minority voters. That’s how you make a difference. You can’t do it sitting on your thrown in the halls of Congress.

What do you think of Ryan’s message? Do you think the GOP is trying their best to bring minorities into the party or are they just pandering? Share your feelings below in the comment section. Let me know what you think.
