Franklin Graham Says He Is 'Grateful To God’ For ‘Last Four Years’

On Monday, evangelical Christian leader Rev. Franklin Graham said that he is grateful for the last four years of President Donald Trump’s time in the White House.

“People have asked if I am disappointed about the election,” Graham said in a Facebook post, noting that he is instead “grateful to God.”

Praising God, Graham said that over the last four years “He gave us a president who protected our religious liberties; grateful for a president who defended the lives of the unborn, standing publicly against abortion and the bloody smear it has made on our nation.”

Graham added that he was “grateful for a president who nominated conservative judges to the Supreme Court and to our federal courts.”

The reverend then touted President Trump’s economic success.

Graham said he was “grateful for a president who built the strongest economy in 70 years with the lowest unemployment rate in 50 years before the pandemic.”

The evangelical leader thanked the President for standing up for the military and law enforcement and against the Washington “Swamp.”

Trump Stood Up For Christians

Graham said he was “grateful for a president who strengthened and supported our military; grateful for a president who stood against ‘the swamp’ and the corruption in Washington; grateful for a president who supported law and order and defended our police.”

He also recognized Trump’s advocacy for Americans of faith.

“I’m grateful for a president and a vice president who recognized the importance of prayer and were not ashamed of the name of Jesus Christ,” Graham added.

Graham also praised Trump for defending Christmas.

“I’m thankful that the president stood against the secularists who wanted to take Christ out of Christmas and that he brought back the greeting “Merry Christmas!” Graham continued.

While it was pilloried in the liberal media, President Trump’s insistence that “we are saying Merry Christmas again” was immensely popular with Christians.

Graham: ‘President Trump Will Go Down In History As One Of The Great Presidents’

Reflecting on the end of the presidential election, Graham gave his final thoughts.

“So as we come to the end of this election season, I look back with a grateful heart and thank God for all of these things,” the reverend said.

“President Trump will go down in history as one of the great presidents of our nation, bringing peace and prosperity to millions here in the U.S. and around the world,” Graham declared.

President Trump thanked Franklin Graham in a tweet late Tuesday.

Earlier this week, Rev. Graham also thanked Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, who just introduced “Born Alive” legislation to protect babies who survive abortion.
