Poll: Young Americans Think Barack Obama Had Greater Impact on America Than George Washington

A poll conducted by YouGov tracking trends for ‘younger Americans’ indicates they view Barack Obama as more impactful than our nation’s first President.

In a startling statistic, the Foundation for Liberty and American Greatness (FLAG) reports that nearly half of Americans under the age of 21 feel Obama had “more (of an) impact on America” than George Washington.

The poll also showed young Americans have anti-Americanism entrenched in their minds.

FLAG Founder Nick Adams said that while his researchers expected to see a lesser degree of patriotism in young people, the level to which it presented itself was unsettling.

“We suspected that we would find decreasing numbers of Americans well-versed in our nation’s most important principles and young people less patriotic than the generations that came before,” Adams admitted, “but we were totally unprepared for what our national survey reveals: an epidemic of anti-Americanism.”

This explains why kids think Obama is so important

In what should serve as an explanation for why young heads full of mush (as Rush Limbaugh might call them) believe Obama was a more historically important figure than Washington, a good portion of the younger generation was also discovered to hold the belief that America, in general, is a ‘racist’ and ‘sexist’ country.

That sounds like something Obama himself would say.

“We have all seen this bigotry in our lives at some point,” Obama told mourners at a funeral for police officers in Dallas who were targeted for their race. “None of us is entirely innocent.”

As Hillary Clinton was approaching her historic defeat in 2016, Obama blamed sexist voters for it even being close.

“When a guy is ambitious and out in the public arena and working hard, well that’s okay,” he claimed, “but when a woman suddenly does it, suddenly you’re all like, ‘Well, why’s she doing that?'”

It’s almost as if millennials have been indoctrinated in our education system with the same exact beliefs of the former President.

Young Americans believe in anti-American sentiments

The poll also reveals many other statistics that are in line with Obama’s core belief that America is fundamentally racist and that the Founding Fathers were inherently the same.

46 percent of younger Americans do not agree with the statement that “America is the greatest country in the world.”

In fact, they tend to agree with New York governor Andrew Cuomo in that America “was never that great.” If you don’t view America as ever being great, then it stands to reason you wouldn’t view the nation’s first president as being great either.

Look at these stats:

  • American exceptionalism is on the decline. 46% of younger Americans do not agree that “America is the greatest country in the world”;
  • 38% of younger Americans do not agree that “America has a history that we should be proud of”;
  • One in eight (14%) of Millennials agree that “America was never a great country and it never will be.”

One in eight seems high until you consider another poll conducted shortly after Cuomo made his comments which showed one in five Democrats agreed.

Yikes.

Poll after poll seems to concur that the left – whether it be in our schools, or the mainstream Democrat Party – views America as the enemy. And when young people think Barack Obama was more important to our nation than the father of America, there is something seriously wrong with the education system and the liberals that have infested it.

“We have a major fraction of an entire generation that has been indoctrinated by teachers starting in grade school that America is what’s wrong with the world,” Adams concluded.

  • What did you expect when those under twenty one only know one president after he served eight years in office. He wasn't a proud american who supported american values or even our military or police. Other than getting rich I can't think of anything positive he actually accomplished.

  • The people in the US made a huge mistake when they voted that 18 year old people courld vote. It is acknowledged that young brains do not mature until around 25 years old, many of these young people who now vote have never held down a job or had to support themselves so many do not have any idea how difficult life can be when you are on your own. Add in the many who think that a college education should be "free" without thinking through that if THEY get a "free" education then after graduation from college they will spend the rest of their lives paying for "free" education for college students that come along behind them. In other words, their brains are not mature enough, and most of them have never had to take care of themselves, so they also don't have life experience to make wise decisions, especially when those decisions can impart other people.

  • A rude awaking is at the door for many of these individuals. I have spent a great deal of time over seas in one country or another all over the world and be-leave me it was always good to get back on American soil. We as Americans are spoiled especially millennial's taught by an education system that has change history to there own lying hateful liberal beliefs. What they hope to gain is not good for this country nor its people. In-fact it puts this country in division, a real weakness shown to its enemies. You don't have to agree with everything our government does but you should be behind its leaders the strength and safety of it's people depend on it. Believe me you don't want a war on our borders.
