Rasmussen also found that 46 percent of likely voters have a positive impression of Harris. Only 28 percent have a very favorable impression.

When polling just Republicans, 74 percent said Harris is unqualified to be commander-in-chief.

The survey of Independents also did not bode well for Harris. 48 percent said Harris is “not at all qualified” to be president should Joe Biden no longer be able to perform his duties, and 12 percent saying Harris is “not very qualified.”

Only 18 percent of Democrats said the same. 15 percent of Democrats said Harris is “not at all qualified.”

Harris Polled Best With Black, Younger, Wealthier Americans

The three demographics Harris polled the best with were blacks voters, voters under 40, and those making $200,000 or more per year.

62 percent of black Americans, 64 percent of those under 40, and 54 percent of those making over $200,000 annually, had favorable views of Harris.

Conversely, 55 percent of those 65 and older viewed Harris unfavorably. This was in addition to 42 percent of white voters, and a majority of middle-income voters.

How Qualified?

Some of the questions asked in the survey were as follows, “Do you have a very favorable, somewhat favorable, somewhat unfavorable or very unfavorable impression of Kamala Harris?,” “In the Biden administration, will Kamala Harris play as important a role as Mike Pence played in the Trump administration?” and “How qualified is Kamala Harris to assume the responsibilities of the presidency?”

In August, a Rasmussen poll found revealed that 59 percent of voters, as well as 49 percent of Democrats, did not think President Biden would serve his full four-year term.
