Now Liberals Want To Cancel Old Toby Keith Song For Being ‘Pro-Lynching’

Toby Keith

Over the past week, liberals have been trying to cancel Jason Aldean and his song “Try That In A Small Town,” which the cancel culture mob nonsensically claims is “pro-lynching.” Now, the hateful left has another country music star in their crosshairs, as they’re targeting an old Toby Keith song that they allege has “lynching” lyrics.

Cancel Culture Mob Comes For Keith

Newsweek reported that the left’s latest target in the country music world is the song “Beer For My Horses,” which Keith released back in 2003. The song featured the legendary country music star Willie Nelson, and it was later the premise for a 2008 movie that has the same name.

Social media influencer and activist Destinee Stark got the ball rolling against Aldean with a series of viral videos in which she laid out why she feels “Try That In A Small Town” is problematic. It was likely the success of this woke video series that inspired Stark to do some digging and find another country music song that she could whine about, and that’s presumably how she came upon “Beer For My Horses.”

“I have no idea how we’re not talking about this song,” Stark began in a TikTok video. “How was this ever allowed on the radio?”

Stark went on to recite what she deemed to be the most offensive lyric of the song.

“‘Grandpappy told my pappy back in the day, son a man has to answer for the wicked that he done. Take all the rope in Texas, find a tall oak tree, round up all them bad boys, hang them high in the tree for all the people to see,'” she stated. “What the f***?”

“‘We got too many gangsters doing dirty deeds. We’ve got too much corruption too much crime in the streets. It’s time the long arm of the law put a few more in the ground,'” she continued. “Literally advocating for police violence and police killings.”

Stark concluded by demanding that Generation Z “put Toby Keith on blast” for this 20 year-old song.

“Beer For My Horses” was a massive hit when it came out back in 2003, hitting the number 1 spot on the U.S. Hot Country Songs on the Billboard Chart. Stark’s rant about the song has quickly gone viral, garnering over 156,000 views at the time of this writing.

Keith Fighting For His Life Against Cancer

It should be noted that Keith is currently fighting for his life in a battle with stomach cancer, a diagnosis that he revealed to the world in June of last year.

“I’ve spent the last six months receiving chemo, radiation and surgery,” he wrote in an Instagram post at the time. “So far, so good. I need time to breathe, recover and relax. I am looking forward to spending this time with my family. But I will see the fans sooner than later. I can’t wait. -T.”

Keith gave an update on his cancer battle last month, saying that he is trying to stay upbeat because “basically, everything is in a real positive trend.”

“You never know with cancer, so you have to prepare,” he explained, according to People Magazine.

Keith’s Trump Ties

Like Aldean, Keith has been a target of the left in the past due to his ties with the former President Donald Trump. Though Keith typically refrains from speaking publicly about politics, he performed at Trump’s 2017 presidential inauguration, something that he refused to apologize for afterwards.

“I don’t apologize for performing for our country or military,” Keith said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly at the time. “I performed at events for previous presidents [George W.] Bush and [Barack] Obama and over 200 shows in Iraq and Afghanistan for the USO.”

As Keith continues to fight for his life against cancer, dealing with the radically liberal cancel culture mob over a song he released twenty years ago should be the last thing he has to worry about. While it’s a new low for the radical left that they would target someone who is in the midst of a multi-year cancer battle, it sadly does not come as a surprise, given how far they’ve gone in the past.

Please join us in saying a prayer for Keith during this extremely difficult time.

  1. The Left chose the criminals, illegal aliens, and socialists. They naturally will be offended if criminals are held accountable for their crimes.

  2. Another Tik Thot Tokker that’s offennnnnnded.
    Imagine that.
I can’t imagine why anyone in his or her right mind would take the mentally ill, aka liberals seriously. These people are nuts.

I think the “degenerate” or “bad” people referred to in the song “Beer for my Horses” is referring to the “Cancel-Culture-Mob of real time, right now outlaws! These are the real enemies of this America and they need to be set up as an example of “what not to do!”

  4. Grow up and get over yourself white girl!!!!! But then again with those looks whos looking at her? Thats why she has so much time on her hands to listen to lyrics by men. Take a good listen to the rap songs that you promote. Most are so hateful and offensive but that is prob what she enjoys
