On Monday, “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski claimed that deaths in the U.S. from COVID-19 are “higher” than the 40,000 number that is being officially reported, adding that people “can feel” it.
Mika and Joe Claim U.S. Deaths from COVID-19 are ‘Much Higher’ than What is Being Reported
“People know, they can see, they can feel,” Brzezinski said. “Testing would have prevented deaths and would allow us to reopen safely. And don’t have it. And the Americans can see it.”
“The other number they can see and feel: 40,000 people dead … 40,000. That’s not the number of unreported. That number is higher,” she continued, with co-host Joe Scarborough adding, “much higher.”
Brzezinski said again, “People see it, they feel it, they know people, they’ve had it.”

Brzezinski Says Trump’s Poll Numbers are Going Down and Biden’s are Rising
The hosts then cited NBC News and The Wall Street Journal polls reflecting public disapproval of President Trump’s response to the coronavirus crisis.
“65% said that Trump did not take the coronavirus threat seriously enough at the beginning, 32% believe that he did,” Brzezinski noted. “Thirty-six percent say they trust the president’s opinion of the coronavirus. That’s compared to 66% who say they trust their state’s governor. And 60% say they trust Dr. Anthony Fauci.”

She also claimed Joe Biden’s support was rising because the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee “is careful with his words” and has produced some “really strong” campaign ads that “show clearly — clearly — that Joe Biden saw this [coronavirus pandemic] coming. He was writing about this in USA Today in January.”

Brzezinski praised for anticipating the crisis, unlike Trump, and said former vice president knew the crisis was “coming like a steamroller … in the direction of the United States. He was concerned. He called on the White House, the president, the administration, to take it seriously. They did not.”
“This is plain and simple,” Brzezinski insisted.

Some Important Things Mika Left Out
She did not mention that when President Trump implemented a China-U.S. travel ban, Biden accused Trump of racism–and then later bashed the President for not doing it sooner!

Dr. Anthony Fauci, chief medical advisor for the coronavirus task force, has said that President Trump took the coronavirus crisis seriously from the beginning.
Sort of important news items to consider when judging President Trump’s approach to this crisis, yes?
