Lindsey Graham Stuns Nation By Revealing Why He Believes Kim Jong-Un Is ‘Dead Or Incapacitated’

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) dropped a bomb over the weekend when he said he would be “shocked” if North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un is still alive.

Graham said during an interview with Fox News that while he does not have any specific knowledge of Kim’s situation, his suspicions remain: “Well, it’s a closed society, I don’t know anything directly,” Graham said. “But I’d be shocked if he’s not dead or in some incapacitated state because you don’t let rumors like this go forever or go unanswered in a closed society, which is really a cult, not a country, called North Korea.”

“So I pretty well believe he is dead or incapacitated,” he added. “And I hope the long-suffering North Korean people will get some relief if he is dead, and President Trump’s willing to do business with North Korea in a win-win fashion. So, if this guy is dead, I hope the next person who takes over will work with President Trump to make North Korea a better place for everybody.”

It should be noted that Graham is the chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee and sits on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

This comes after reports came in over the weekend stating that Kim, 36, had passed away after a botched heart surgery. Other reports stated that he had been left in a vegetative state from which he is unlikely to come out of following the surgery. Kim has reportedly not been seen in public for two weeks, and The Sun reported that speculation that something was wrong with his health grew when he did not appear at a celebration to mark the birthday of his grandfather Kim Il Sung.

At the time, NBC News tweeted that Kim was “brain dead,” but this tweet was later deleted “out of an abundance of caution.”

“My understanding is that he had been struggling [with cardiovascular problems] since last August but it worsened after repeated visits to Mount Paektu,” a source told Daily NK, referring to the sacred mountain in North Korea.

Kim has not named a successor, so his death could trigger a massive power struggle in the rogue nation. One person who could seize power is Kim’s younger sister Kim Yo-jong, who has long been rumored to be the brains behind much of his operation.
