I was raised around music. My mother had a radio show every Sunday night at the broadcast station on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. We listen to real music every day of my childhood. I even sang from church to church and concert to concert.
So when I say these two music stars SANG, believe me they SANG!
Music performer Justin Timberlake joined rising country star Chris Stapleton for a pairing for the ages, one that has us wishing JT would return to his Southern roots more often, and has us wanting much more from Stapleton in the future.
The two performers – Timberlake hailing from Memphis, Stapleton from Kentucky – started with a flawless take on Stapleton’s Tennessee Whiskey, on the heels of Stapleton’s win for New Artist of the Year earlier in the night.
I don’t know that much about Stapleton but listening to this set, he’s an amazing musician with a deep, deep soul and a voice to match. And the fact that someone who has a following as large as Justin Timberlake sang with him just makes it all better. The sky’s the limit for Chris. Way to go guys! Awesome performance!!
