Joy Reid Claims Fox News Hosts ‘Want To Kill Their Own Viewers’ – ‘Doesn’t Make Sense To Me’

While appearing on “The Late Show” on Monday night, MSNBC host Joy Reid claimed to host Stephen Colbert that Fox News anchors “want to kill their own viewers” by pushing anti-vaccine rhetoric.

Without naming any specific hosts, Colbert asked Reid to react to hosts on other networks who he claim question the validity of the COVID-19 vaccine. Reid took this opportunity to throw the hosts of Fox News, who regularly get far better ratings than she does, under the bus.

“When you see other anchors on different networks questioning whether vaccines are good or bad for you and not revealing whether they’ve been vaccinated, do you have any particular reaction to that?” Colbert asked.

Reid Attacks Fox News Hosts

“Number one, it doesn’t make sense to me why folks at that particular network, which I think we all know who we mean, would want to kill their own viewers,” Reid responded.

“Their viewers are older. Their viewers are more susceptible to COVID. And I don’t understand what the point is of killing them because everyone on air at Fox has been vaccinated,” she added.

“I would put any money on it,” Reid said. “They were vaccinated first. I’m sure they shoved little old ladies out of the way to get their vaccines first. They’re all vaccinated. They’re living in remote cabins. … They’re all vaccinated.”

“And so, if they’re telling you not to do it, you have to ask yourself why they don’t care about you when you’re their base,” Reid continued. “And again, the people who are saying this, what is in it for them for their own people to die?”

Reid Lashes Out At Fox On MSNBC

Reid also lashed out at Fox News during her own MSNBC show on Monday evening.

“It should come as no surprise many COVID cases are people who watch Fox News hosts … who downplayed the pandemic,” Reid said. “According to Media Matters, between June 28th and July 11th, Fox personalities and guests made a total of 216 claims undermining or downplaying vaccines.”

It seems that Fox News is living rent-free in Reid’s head! I guess she’s tired of watching them get far more viewers than she could ever hope for on a measly network like MSNBC.
