Hard to believe.
The Utah teacher who forced one of her students to wash the ashes off his forehead last week after he received them on Ash Wednesday told the media she didn’t know these were holy ashes related to the start of Lent — even though the student, a Catholic, tried to tell her when she insisted he wipe off his forehead in school.
And now she’s apologized.
Hang on a second.
A teacher had never heard of Ash Wednesday?
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) took the high road when discussing this unfortunate story on “Fox & Friends” on Fox News on Tuesday morning.
Watch here as he schools an errant teacher about Catholicism, ashes, and respect for a student. Clearly this is one teacher who should have known better — and now she does:

the anti christian teacher no doubt rubs the manure onto her face each day from the holy islamic chicken she keeps. beds it's pen with pages torn from the koran
I grew up in a backwater town in Louisiana and we had ONE Catholic Church and at least 50 Protestant Church's in the whole Parish(County) and we as kids knew what ash Wednesday was, this teacher is just an example of todays anti-GOD educational system.
Catholics don't force non-Catholics to erase the marks and customs of their religion or non-religion, but atheists and Satanists insist that Crosses and other symbols of Christianity be removed from public viewing. When invited to speak at Notre Dame, Obama insisted that Crucifixes be covered up. Pretty sure this teacher was just doing the bidding of her spiritual leader, to whom she is asking to take her into eternity.
Had this child been Muslim and had some kind of marking (or turban for that matter), I'll bet this "teacher" wouldn't have uttered a peep, but anything to do with Christianity MUST be squelched.
She is a lying sack of (fill in the blank)
Stop acting like an...........
Ohhhhh!
Time to listen to the kids you are teaching. This could have easily been a teaching moment.
Every year I see someone, usually someone I know with a BIG black mark on their forehead and almost (ALMOST) say: "You know you've got some dirt on your...OH! - that's right! It's ASH WEDNESDAY! Stop myself now, at least, and try to politely (as I can) recover and acknowledge the event. Am (obviously) not Catholic, but am smart (and well-bred) enough to not diss someone else's religion...not so much this stupid teacher...!
But a decent teacher listens when someone tells her/him/it. Bet the child was white. There would have been no "insistence to wash it off," had it been otherwise. The teacher would not have dared.
