Eyewitnesses have stated the shooter at Umpqua Community College targeted Christians during the Oregon shooting. He asked students about their religion and their answers determined their fate.
Twitter user @BodhiLooney relayed that her grandma, who is a student at the school, said if someone was a Christian they were shot in the head. Otherwise they were shot in the leg.
Anastasia Boylan was shot. Before going into spinal surgery, she also told her father that the shooter was targeting Christians. Stacy Boylan recounted his conversation with his daughter on CNN.
“‘Are you a Christian?’ he would ask them. And ‘if you’re a Christian, stand up.’ And they would stand up. And he said, ‘good, because you’re a Christian, you’re going to see God in just about one second.’ And then shot and killed them.”
An emotional Boylan was also dismayed the shooter was able to get off so many rounds without being stopped. The college is a gun free zone, which means only criminals would carry firearms there, leaving the students as sitting targets.
President Obama has already used this tragedy to push for more gun control. But gun grabbers don’t understand that gun control didn’t prevent this shooting. Guns aren’t permitted on campus, yet the shooter had one. Gun free zones only create victims and a false sense of security.
