Gowdy: Strzok’s Anti-Trump Text Messages Show Clear and ‘Unprecedented’ Bias

Congressman Trey Gowdy laid into FBI agent Peter Strzok over his anti-Trump text messages, saying they showed a clear and “unprecedented” level of bias “you rarely see” from FBI officials.

Strzok, a key player in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s original Russia probe, had to be ‘reassigned’ after sending the biased messages to his girlfriend, FBI lawyer Lisa Page.

The pair exchanged messages about then-candidate Trump, referring to him as a “douche” and a “f***ing idiot.”

What really drew the ire of Gowdy however, was a particular message discussing an “insurance policy” to eliminate Trump from the presidency should he go on to win.

“If they were coming up with a quote ‘insurance policy’ in case Donald Trump won, that is devastating,” Gowdy said during an interview with Fox News.

“What I hope is that insurance policy was not a counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign,” he added.

“This was a level of bias that you rarely see, frankly,” Gowdy added of Strzok.

Aside from being ‘reassigned’ from the Russia probe, the Justice Department’s Office of Inspector General confirmed that Strzok is being reviewed for his role in the Clinton email investigation, as well as a number of other politically sensitive cases.

It’s not enough for him to be gone from the Mueller probe, according to Gowdy.

“I am heartened by the fact that [Mueller] kicked Strzok off as soon as he learned,” Gowdy said. “I just wish he’d have learned sooner.”

“He’s in the middle of major investigations,” he said of Strzok. “Thank God he’s gone, but I want to know how the hell he got there in the first place.”

We know that already, don’t we?

Gowdy is a top Republican member of the House Intelligence Committee.

Is it time the Committee investigated the investigators? Tell us what you think below!

  1. I do not understand why this guy is still working for the FBI and why that Justice Department employee who met with the Fusion people is still sitting at his desk. Why aren’t these people fired?

  2. It shows much worse than “bias”. It shows that he was attempting to strip the people of their rights in an election and may even show that he was planning a coup d’etat of the Presidency. Something was mentally wrong with this man. He obviously had no regard for the law and had criminal instincts. The fact that he was FBI compounds it ten-fold.

  3. Now I bet Peter Strzok knows what kind of Detective Tray Goudy is???A crackerjack interrogator like Goudy will cut him to pieces.Strzok had better remember his fairy tales???

  4. Donald Trump is not Barack Obama, and Tray Goudy is not Eric Holder. So you can rest assured that those who are responsible for the death of our four American heroes, will be paid a visit by the angel of death. Trump or Goudy, do not forget

  5. When is Gowdy going to investigate the attack in Niger?
Oct 4, 2017, ISIS attack in Niamey, Niger kills 4 of 12 Special Forces. They call for backup, two hours later the French provide it. Johnson’s body recovered Oct 6 almost a mile away, bound and executed.
Dead are: Sgt. La David Johnson, 25, of Miami Gardens, Florida; Staff Sgt. Bryan C. Black, 35, of Puyallup, Washington; Staff Sgt. Jeremiah W. Johnson, 39, of Springboro, Ohio; and Staff Sgt. Dustin M. Wright, 29, of Lyons, Georgia, were killed along with Johnson in Niger. Injured evacuated by French helos, dead removed by “contractor” helos.
Trump waited twelve days to make a comment and then Trump’s initial response, “he knew what he signed up for”.
How can he ignore this attack on American soldiers who didn’t get the needed aerial support?

  6. Why in the hell can’t all of congress be like Gowdy? He seems to be the one & only one who has a pair. The rest seem like nutless pansies and drunks.

  7. Its Time for Trump to Clean House and Open a Special Counsel to Investigate Hillary and Her Cronies and The Special Counsel Investigating Him and Especially Benghazi and Uranium One

  8. What do yiou mean, reassigned. This guy should have been fired immediately. Don’t even stop by to clean out your desk. We will send you your junk.

  9. Is srpska-Strzok with this terrible illegal-immigrant name still on barefoot? Someone has to issue an arrest warrant and take him to prison awaiting trial.
The FBI needs a purge to remove all those ultraleftist scum inside

  10. I thought that FBI Agents had to pass background checks and psychiatric testing to get into the FBI. Maybe I am wrong if Peter Strzok got in while having a wife and a mistress, and a mind that wanders into the absurd. How can any of his work be acceptable?

  11. Gowdy is the Establishment show dog, all bark and no bite. Can someone tell me what this vicious, barking dog did to the monsters who let our brave heroes die in Benghazi? Woof woof bark bark, case closed! Don’t be fooled by this ridiculous headline – this is all for show, folks. Read Conservative Treehouse if you want to know what’s really going in re: Roosterhead.

  12. At times, former prosecutor Trey Gowdy seems extraordinarily naive. I think this sort of misconduct is quite common at the FBI and DoJ. I doubt that the US Attorneys’ office spread across the country or the FBI field offices engage in this sort of misconduct, but the guys in DC think they are among the biggest alligators in the Swamp. And they behave like it.

  13. Gowdy thinks fast on his feet, doesn’t he? More importantly, he seems to be right when he points out the bs leftists are trying to push down our throats. I’m beginning to see him as a serious contender for the White House. We need someone of his obvious ability to lead the chase.

  14. Very good Richard, I totally agree and if Sessions can’t do the job then he needs to get out of the way. What Obama and Clinton did while in office is horrible too and they all need to be prosecuted. They came so close to taking this country down that most don’t even see it. I hope gowdy tears them all apart!

  15. I think it’s TIME….. past TIME that we find out WHAT Jeff Sessions is REALLY up to…… and if he’s not willing to begin investigating Clinton and Obama for the MULTIPLE FELONIES they’ve committed then I WHOLEHEARTEDLY NOMINATE TREY GOWDY FOR ATTORNEY GENERAL!!!!

I believe that Trey will go in and CLEAN OUT THE RATS!!! Any of those Obama holdovers like Strzok and McCabe and GET THEM OUT!!!!

  16. FIRE this IDIOT!!!!!! WE Put up with a totally FRAUD Black Muslim SISSY for EIGHT LONG YEARS!! So You morons can put up with a great President for only SEVEN MORE YEARS!! He still has much work to do to undo all the FAILURE of this Muslim Fraud!!

  17. If you want to check out how good they are check out http://www.NumbersUSA.com, they tell their voting record, and let you tell them how you want them to vote{ on the voting it is your congress people}. I agree with the fact that Gowdy , Jordan, are great, but I wonder if their hands have been tied, and Chafitz is gone.

  18. I like Gowdy, Chaffitz, and Jordan. But, they are all show and no go. A lot of talk and absolutely no action. So many dems have refused to answer, taken the 5th, lied, and just plain have not shown up after being issued a Subpoena. That is called contempt of congress which is a felony and a jailing offense. Tell me why no contempt charges have been filed against any of them? Not one contempt citation issued in 9 years.

Congress to rely on its own constitutional
authority to detain and imprison a contemnor until the individual complies with congressional
demands. Second, the criminal contempt statute permits Congress to certify a contempt citation to
the executive branch for the criminal prosecution of the contemnor. Finally, Congress may rely on
the judicial branch to enforce a congressional subpoena. Under this procedure, Congress may
seek a civil judgment from a federal court declaring that the individual in question is legally
obligated to comply with the congressional subpoena.

  19. The FBI has fallen from grace and cannot be trusted..Pure and simple.
Washington haas truly turned into a swamp infested with every kind of slithering reptile imagineable..

  20. That’s great, but when are you and the rest of congress going to actually do anything? During the entire time Obama was a candidate and in office we in the DoD and elsewhere were constantly being briefed that if we said ANYTHING at all that didn’t agree with him, it was a violation and we were subject to discipline up to and including removal from our positions, however now we see that this was completely biased enforcement.

  21. Gowdy is the Man….You take them douche bags out Growdy! These M.F. deserve to be behind bars for good. Drain That Swamp Gowdy! You let em have it. Support you 1000%

  22. Where in the hell is the law, these DOJ, FBI, CIA, NSA, white house officials can just not show up or just answer questions and get away with it. Two tier justice will not survive for long, the country will be doomed, if not already. Jeff Sessions needs to man up and do something, all the House and Senate investigations are worthless, nothing ever comes from them but talk, nice sound bites but never any action. Logic and common sense be damned by politicians they are all corrupt.

  23. Lee, spot on. Trump cannot do it for obvious political reasons even though he has the right to do it but Jeff Sessions is like a lost man. Bite the bullet Sessions and bring these people to justice.

  24. If the FBI is stonewalling congress on records and documentation which congress has every right to see since they are charged with FBI oversight, why does Trump not simply order them to comply immediately or fire those who are orchestrating that resistance outright on that basis?!

  25. Congressional investigations, both the House and Senate, seem to be conducted for the publicity rather than any reason to find wrongdoing and improper behavior or action, let alone illegal activity.
On the other hand, the “deepstate” and their gang of miscreants, Mueller and company, have plenty of authority and a willingness to destroy a duly elected President.

  26. The FBI always had a pristine reputation which just went in the toilet thanks to Comey and these clowns who have been trying to destroy Trump, it will take years to renew faith in the FBI unless Trump removes all the trash and starts over.

  27. Confirmation that the Inspector General is indeed investigating the Clinton email scandal, in addition to other investigations he is conducting, including 27 separate investigations into leaks and leakers. This also shores up the fact that with the IG investigating the real corruption and crimes of the last administration, there’s no need to fire Mueller. Perhaps with the findings of investigations taking place in both chambers of Congress and the IG, Mueller’s efforts will be mooted out by the findings of those investigations which will show where the REAL collusion was taking place…not just with Russians, but within Obama’s weaponized government agencies colluding with each other on political grounds to keep Trump from winning as well as colluding to ensure Hillary, et al, are cleared of any and all charges brought against her.

  28. It truly saddens me to see the US Constitution flouted this way, but I guess it should have been expected when Barry Sotoro said that the best Constitution in history was “flawed” and then set out to prove it by appointing crooks who could paralyze any President of which the New World Order doesn’t approve.

  29. I like Trey Gowdy but what has he or any politicians on these committees ever done. IRS, DOJ, Bengazi, Fast and Furious, Uranium One, and on and on and nothing gets done but talk. The politicians of each party protect each other, they are all scum as far as I am concerned. Ethics and integrity takes back bone and our politicians of all stripes have jello for backbones. We have turned into a banana republic, and we have the nerve to castigate other nations.

  30. Bruce, I could not have stated it better. You practically took the words out of my mouth. – – – – and on another note, I wish someone would explain to me WHY Mueller is still heading up this investigation, or better yet, how did he get into that position in the first place. Strzok & Lisa Page should have been charged with conspiracy against a sitting Pres., seems to me. – – – and who is this Andy McCabe, never heard of him. I don’t know why Mr. Sessions didn’t appoint Trey Gowdy to get to the bottom of this B/S. Mueller will dilly/dally for the next 8 yrs. & won’t know no more then, than you know now. It seems to me, all this conspiracy politics comes from obama, hillary & most of the democrats.I am just about as sick of DC as I can get. Mr Trump can do very little, because he has so many trying to do a number on him.

  31. Clearly the scum that is rising to the surface in Americas political employees are the result of 8 years of obama hiring practices. This is the garbage obama wanted in charge in DC. It is also demonstrates exactly what obama had in mind for America. obama and his hires are trash and scum of the earth

  32. Ted, sounds like a good plan, but you would probably have to have congressional hearings on each one of them to get rid of them. That could take a long time. I wish Congress could appoint some kind of committee to just go down the list, you’re fired, fired, gone, but of course we will never do that, & besides, it would not be the way we do our politics. As chaotic as it is, the ppl. will fix it eventually [ i hope ] If they don’t, then they deserve what they get.

  33. At this point, Trump is more intent on filling court vacancies in his efforts to realign the courts to the constitution as written, and not as some evolving crap lefties try to create as they go along. It will also bring down the number of rogue activist judges working in collusion with lefties to override presidential orders.

Besides, as he transforms America to greatness again, the new judges will have an impact, limiting the lefty rogues from implementing their own laws. While Trump works making America great again, his actions allow the rope to move out in all directions, allowing all the lefties from rogue activist judges, the ACLU, and the Mueller witch hunt to name a few, to hang themselves.

  34. Obama had 8 long years to create the swamp, it will take nearly that long to drain it. The real solution is to just start replacing any suspected people as quickly as possible.
Sure, there can be investigations, legal B/S, that just takes time and since they all have friends in high places, just get rid of them.
Get enough of them gone, then the friends in high places have no support, get them gone also.

  35. MDC, I agree, I have said for a long, long time, Mueller’s dog & pony show needs to be escorted out of town. He has spent an entire year “investigating Mr Trump & his collusion with the Russians”. and What have we gotten for it, just more gobbled-gook B/S. I & I believe everyone, except democrats & “never Trumpers” are FED UP with these creeps. What they are really focused upon, is undermining Mr Trump & his agenda. They hate him with a passion. It is one thing to be loyal to your party & support their agenda, I understand that, but, when you think like the democrats, & you lie, & the media puts more fake news out there than they do actual facts. When the politicians [democrats ] in Wash. conspire, undermine, & do everything they can to sabotage Mr Trump’s agenda, then that is where I think the line should be drawn. I am coming up on 80 yrs. I have been following politics for years, but I have never seen such, conspiracy, fraud, & down-right hatred among the dems. & repubs. We should be Americans above party lines, but I think the dems. have become more marxist/socialist/communist than they like to admit. I don’t want to get along with them, I want to defeat them, until they are recognized for who & what they are & who they stand with.

  36. This entire Russian investigation has turned into a circus with unprofessional clowns. All those involved should be terminated from the FBI immediately. So fed up with this nonsense!

  37. You are correct in that the FBI and DoJ can’t police themselves. That’s what Congress is for! Congress is the overseer in what goes on. And therein lies the problem, because neither agency reported to Congress. Of course, they didn’t have to during Obama’s reign of terror, since all their asses were protected by the Corrupter in Chief.

But to have gotten to a place where a special prosecutor was assigned without any oversight by Congress, of rogue agents like Mueller, Comey, Rosenstein, and Strzok, who had their partisan, unobjective hands in the political cesspool, shows just how corrupt the last administration was and the weaponized and politicized agencies of government!

Mueller should have contacted Congress when it was brought to his attention that Strzok and Paige were running a scam out of the FBI. He didn’t because had he, the charges against Flynn would never materialize and be prosecuted.

It’s because of independent investigations by Congress and the IG that this criminality has been realized. Uh huh, investigations can take a long time. Mueller plans on his to be never-ending until he finds something. Therein lies the problem with his appointment (or one of many) as these appointees are made BECAUSE a crime has been committed and it is up to the appointee to find out who the culprits are who committed the crime. No crime has ever been proven to have made the appointment of Mueller necessary.

But knowing that numerous investigations are being done in both chambers of Congress, as numerous investigations are being conducted by the IG, Mueller’s team has plenty to worry about. They’re being watched. And know it. And last week’s outrageous release of ALL transition records makes the cloud over Mueller’s head bigger and blacker!

It’s already been acknowledged that defense attorneys for Flynn, Manafort, Gates and Popadopulous can be dismissed on grounds of Mueller’s behavior, as well as the behavior of everyone on his team who have been recognized as partisan hacks with their collusion to keep Hillary from being charged while making sure Trump is charged (or doesn’t win the election). These members are known strong arm prosecutors who have been reversed in appeals on almost all cases they worked. They have a reputation for forcing people to rot in jail while not allowing bail to be set….and then after a year of rotting, the courts overturn the prosecutions. In one case against the Anderson financial firm, 85,000 people lost their jobs worldwide when Weismann tried to bring them down. In an unheard of result, SCOTUS overturned the matter 9-0…still, though, 85000 were still out of work, like the 30 or so who rotted in prison for more than a year.

Worst case scenario if these cases are actually prosecuted? Trump can and will pardon. As it stands, the judge who heard Flynn’s plea can easily throw it out based on what has been found out…Flynn or his lawyers don’t even have to go to court! Everyone is standing by and watching Mueller’s team wind up eventually so that they can fight the outcomes of the witch hunt.

  40. And every damned one of them should be charged with Contempt of Congress and send to the “bighouse” where they can develop some new friendships.

  41. Of course it is since the FBI and Justice Department can hardly be expected to investigate themselves. McCabe, Rosenstein and even Trump’s appointee, Wray, have done nothing but evade and avoid answering questions.

  60. Clearly the scum that is rising to the surface in Americas political employees are the result of 8 years of obama hiring practices. This is the garbage obama wanted in charge in DC. It is also demonstrates exactly what obama had in mind for America. obama and his hires are trash and scum of the earth

        1. It truly saddens me to see the US Constitution flouted this way, but I guess it should have been expected when Barry Sotoro said that the best Constitution in history was “flawed” and then set out to prove it by appointing crooks who could paralyze any President of which the New World Order doesn’t approve.

  62. This entire Russian investigation has turned into a circus with unprofessional clowns. All those involved should be terminated from the FBI immediately. So fed up with this nonsense!

  63. Of course it is since the FBI and Justice Department can hardly be expected to investigate themselves. McCabe, Rosenstein and even Trump’s appointee, Wray, have done nothing but evade and avoid answering questions.
