George W. Bush recently addressed a hundred donors of his brother Jeb’s presidential campaign at a fundraiser in Denver. The former president was giving his perspective on the race. According to donors, he said pleasant things about all the Republicans with the exception of one. And President Bush was rather blunt regarding this candidate.
Politico reported that Bush spoke of Ted Cruz and said, “I just don’t like the guy.” He was rather blunt in his criticism of Cruz, who worked in the Bush administration.
One donor, paraphrasing the former president’s comment in response to a broad question about how he viewed the primary race and the other Republican candidates, said: “He said he found it ‘opportunistic’ that Cruz was sucking up to Trump and just expecting all of his support to come to him in the end,” that donor added.
Senator Cruz refused to get entangled into a public spat with the former president. Instead he issued a graceful statement to Politico.
“I have great respect for George W Bush, and was proud to work on his 2000 campaign and in his administration,” Cruz said. “It’s no surprise that President Bush is supporting his brother and attacking the candidates he believes pose a threat to his campaign. I have no intention of reciprocating. I met my wife Heidi working on his campaign, and so I will always be grateful to him.”

Christina, what are you smoking? Since when does standing for and defending the Constitution “undermine this country”? Undermining an unconstitutional government is a good thing. Ted Cruz is a true patriot, and there are far too few of them today.

Ted Cruz is a devious and coniving liar. He gives me the creeps when he talks to the public. He is sneaky and is doing everythung he can to undermine this country and government. I despise even looking at him I have just got more respect for George w.!
Really Cristina? I do not agree…Ted Cruz is smart and loves the Constitution; I do not have the respect that you have for the Bushes.
The only reason Bush W hates Cruz is because he is a solid, true conservative and too much competition for Jeb. Cruz has more brains in his pinky finger than Jeb has in his entire body. “W” sees him as a threat, that’s all!
I like Cruz. And I miss Bush. But he is entitled to his opinion afterall, his brother is running. This is all politics and its really up to us to decide who we vote for. For certain, I wont vote and hope no one votes for a democrat. They have the mindset of “we need to pass it to know whats in it” or supports planned parenthood or supports illegal immigration or doesnt call a terrorist what he is–evil and should be assassinated (terrorists I mean) or declares islam as a good or…..shall I go on? There is too much wrong with this mindset. Huckabee, Cruz, Rubio, Fiorina, anyone of the republicans…well, almost any…can be better at leadership and stand for what is right and stand for what the people voted for. Not special interests groups needs.
