Garth Brooks Tells Ailing Loretta Lynn: ‘Get Out of There Soon’

Last week, the music industry and fans all over the world were in shock after learning that country music legend Loretta Lynn had been hospitalized after suffering a stroke.

The 85-year old Lynn was admitted to a Nashville hospital last Thursday and her Facebook page said that doctors expect her to make a full recovery.

Lynn’s stroke came just several months before she is set to release her 41st album, “Wouldn’t It Be Great.” Throughout her illustrious career, Lynn has written over 160 songs and sold more than 45 million albums worldwide.

While Ms. Lynn continues to recover in the hospital, another country music legend, Garth Brooks, sent her a powerful message: “Get out of there soon.”

In a video message posted on his Facebook page, Brooks called Lynn the “queen of queens” and to “Please know, our love is with you, our strength is with you, and our money is on you. I know you’re already running the place there in ICU. All of our love and all of our strength is with you. There’s a lot of flowers waiting and a lot of love waiting for you when you get out of there. Get out of there soon, honey. Get back to playing music. We miss you already. I love you so very, very much.”

Back in 2010, Brooks and Lynn gave an interview discussing what it was like to perform on stage together:

We’re with Garth on this one. Get well Loretta!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Lynn and her entire family and we hope for a speedy recovery!
