Fox News’ Chris Wallace Cheers: Michelle Obama ‘Sliced and Diced’ Trump

Fox News anchor Chris Wallace celebrated Michelle Obama’s speech at the DNC, claiming she “really flayed, sliced and diced Donald Trump.”

“It was a heck of a contribution,” he began. “She really flayed, sliced and diced Donald Trump talking about the chaos and confusion and lack of empathy, especially coming from this president and this White House.”

Wallace continued by noting the former First Lady talked more about the bad that is President Trump than the good that is Joe Biden, though she did note “his empathy” and “his care for average Americans.”

“She said we have to vote for Joe Biden like our lives depend on it,” he said before concluding, “this was a very effective speech.”

Michelle’s Lies

There is reality and then there is whatever the hell Wallace was watching last night. The two do not match up at all.

As the Political Insider reported, Mrs. Obama’s speech was littered with lies and falsehoods, efforts to smear, and a complete disregard for facts.

She spread the media-driven myth about Trump calling neo-Nazis in Charlottesville ‘fine people’ – fun fact, he didn’t.

She lied about ‘peaceful protesters’ being cleared from the area surrounding St. John’s Church in June – fun fact, they weren’t.

Incredibly, this is the same woman who said during her speech that she had to ‘go high’ by telling people the “cold, hard truth” about President Trump.

“Going high means standing fierce against hatred,” Obama said. “And going high means unlocking the shackles of lies and mistrust with the only thing that can truly set us free: the cold hard truth.”

If Wallace was interested in reporting, rather than gushing over Obama’s rhetoric – a microcosm of both Obama’s really, all words, no substance – then he’d have pointed out the stone-cold lies.

Will he be so smitten when President Trump speaks at his convention? Will he say the President ‘sliced and diced’ Biden or Obama if he stretches the truth in his speech?

The AP Fact-Checked Michelle – Wallace Didn’t

What kind of media world are we living in when the Associated Press actually fact-checks Michelle Obama while Wallace and Perino fall all over themselves praising her speech?

Aside from the aforementioned lies, Obama ripped the President for throwing children of illegal immigrants in cages – cages that were built during her husband’s administration.

“The reference to cages is misleading and a matter that Democrats have persistently distorted,” the AP wrote.

“Trump used facilities that were built during the Obama-Biden administration to house children at the border,” the report continues. “They are chain-link enclosures inside border facilities where migrants were temporarily housed, separated by sex and age.”

Wallace sings about Michelle effectively conveying Biden’s empathy and Trump’s lack thereof. She did so by repeatedly lying. She did so by glossing over her own husband’s lack of empathy.
