Documentary filmmaker Michael Moore took his Trump Derangement Syndrome to a whole new level on Friday when he claimed that the current president is more dangerous than coronavirus.
While appearing on MSNBC‘s “The 11th Hour,” Moore claimed that Trump is a bigger threat to the world than coronavirus because scientists can at least potentially stop the illness. He also pushed the fake news narrative that Trump had described the coronavirus as a “hoax,” when in reality he had just described Democrats’ attempts to politicize the pandemic as a “hoax.”
“If you have the president telling people it’s a hoax, that there’s nothing to worry about, that it will disappear as he said yesterday, and it’ll be a miracle. I sat there just now thinking before I came in here: ‘which is more dangerous? A virus or a president who says that?’” Moore asked host Brian Williams. “Because at least if we were honest and knew everything about the virus and the facts were all out there, science could start to deal with it. Whatever inoculation, whatever we need to come up with, whatever we need to invent, we could start that process.”
Earlier in this same segment, Williams had also perpetuated the fake news narrative about Trump calling coronavirus a “hoax.”
“This is about to become people’s realities on local news. And local news comes roaring back into our lives when we are concerned about our surroundings, our brothers, our sisters, our community,” Williams said. “That’s going to become the truth for people. Talk about the danger of the president calling this a hoax.”
Not stopping there, Moore also claimed falsely that Trump had told Americans that “there’s nothing to worry about” when it comes to coronavirus. This is blatantly untrue, as Trump had said on Thursday that “there’s a chance that it won’t spread too, and there’s a chance that it will, and then it’s a question of at what level,” according to Breitbart News.
It’s despicable that Democrats are politicizing this pandemic as a weapon against Trump at a time when we should be putting politics aside to come together and figure out how to stop it. This just goes to show that there is no limit to Trump Derangement Syndrome, and that Democrats will try to use absolutely anything they can to take down President Trump.
