Did Jim Acosta Actually Praise Trump For A Flawless D-Day Speech?

President Trump delivered a speech on the 75th anniversary of D-Day that was so moving and powerful, it even had the likes of rabid anti-Trumper Jim Acosta singing his praises.

Trump’s speech, widely praised by critics for staying on point in such a somber moment of remembrance, clearly hit all of the right notes.

“You are the pride of our nation, you are the glory of the republic, and we thank you from the bottom of our heart,” Trump said to some 60 American veterans in attendance.

“To the men that sit behind me and to the boys that rest in the field before me, your example will never grow old,” the President continued. “Your legend will never die.”

Trump also took time to honor several veterans by name.

Praise From the Enemy of the People

Even CNN reporter Jim Acosta heaped praise upon the President for ‘rising to the moment’ in Normandy.

“This is perhaps the most on-message moment of Donald Trump’s presidency today,” he declared. “We were all wondering if he would veer from his remarks, go off of his script but he stayed on script, stayed on message and, I think, rose to the moment.”

This is coming from a man whose new book reveals that he is “showboating” and “grandstanding” when he confronts Trump during press gaggles or conferences.

Today, however, Acosta demurred to Trump’s moment.

“It was really one of those moments that Donald Trump needed to rise to in order to, I think, walk away from the cemetery, walk away from this hallowed ground and have people back at home saying, ‘You know what, no matter what I think about the current president of the United States, he said the right thing at Normandy. He did the right thing at Normandy,'” Acosta reported.

He added that the President “hit all of the right moments” in his speech honoring the heroes of D-Day.

“This was just a really captivating, stirring remarkable moment for the entire world to witness.”

Not Just Acosta

Joe Scarborough, another Trump critic over on MSNBC, also suggested this was “the strongest speech of [Trump’s] presidency.”

“There was one especially beautiful moment and I loved the thought because – any World War II documentary you see, any Vietnam documentary you see, when the interviewer starts talking about them being heroes, they will tear up and they’ll say ‘the heroes were the ones that never came back,'” Scarborough said. “Well, Trump said that that’s what these heroes were saying.”

Scarborough recently opined that impeaching the President is as important as Lincoln abolishing slavery.

It’s fascinating watching Trump deliver a speech so dramatic and incredible that it transforms the unhinged, if but only for a moment.

Why does what Acosta and CNN have we should consider noteworthy or true. If he said water was wet, if you listen to his opinion, you probably should check it again.

  2. Acosta & Scarborough are nothing without President Trump. Look at how Acosta has fallen back into the shadows since they ended the daily press briefings at the “White” house. And Scarborough….. without President Trump what would his show have to offer the sycophant, Trump hating, democrats?

I’m shocked that narcissistic JERK Acosta was able to resist the temptation to yell out a question about “Russian collusion” and try to make it all about HIM, like he usually does!
