Cooked And Loaded: Restaurant Employee Kills Armed Robber

Father’s Day breakfast was interrupted for about 20 patrons of Detroit’s Coney Island when an armed robber attempted to rob the restaurant.  Fearful of losing their lives, many of the customer dove to the ground.

Then the cook came out and shot the man who was holding up the restaurant. The robber never made it out alive.

WDIV reports the employee is being hailed as a hero by people who were in the restaurant and in the neighborhood.

“It was a good thing, because the guy was threatening everybody,” Robert Felton said. “There had to be at least 20 people in the restaurant. The guy that works here, he’s a hero. He’s really a hero.”

This isn’t the only story recently out of Detroit of people using their Second Amendment rights to defend themselves. A woman who fired at armed men in her own home called on other residents to get their concealed carry permits so they can protect themselves.

Detroit homicide detectives see this as a case of self defense.
