Chris Wallace Attacks Ted Cruz – Compares Him To Japanese Soldier Who Thinks The War Is ‘Still Going On’

Fox News host Chris Wallace spoke out on Sunday to launch a vile attack on Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), who he compared to a Japanese soldier who thinks World War II is “still going on” because he has continued to question the results of the presidential election.

Wallace Attacks Cruz

“It would seem to me that Republicans on Capitol Hill have a role to play in this,” Wallace said. “A very few of them have said, look, you pursue your legal options, but, you know, damn down the rhetoric, like Mitt Romney, like Pat Toomey.”

“There are a lot who are just silent,” the host added. “And then there are some — I mentioned Ted Cruz — you know who are like the Japanese soldiers who come out 30 years after the war — out of the jungle — and say, ‘Is the fight still going on?’”

Cruz Says Trump ‘Still Has A Path To Victory

This came after Cruz said that he believes Trump “still has a path to victory,” predicting that the president’s legal battle would go all the way to the Supreme Court.

“I believe President Trump still has a path to victory, and that path is to count every single legal vote that was cast, but also not to count any votes that were fraudulently cast or illegally cast, and we have a legal process to determine what’s legal and what isn’t,” Cruz told Fox News.

The Texas senator went on to cite an error that occurred in a county in Michigan where several thousand votes for Trump were counted for Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

“That same software is used in 47 counties throughout Michigan. That needs to be examined,” Cruz explained. “It’s hard to know what the facts are and hard to know what the truth is. … This case could very easily end up at the U.S. Supreme Court.”

He also cited the case of Bush v. Gore in 2000, which he was involved in personally.

“I would expect a similar process to play out here, despite the media trying to tell everyone give up, go home, we know who we want to win. That’s not how it works,” Cruz said. “We need to follow the law, and that means allowing the legal process to play out.”
