Chelsea Handler Claims It Took A COVID-19 Lockdown For America To Go A Month Without A School Shooting

March boasted the most firearm background checks on record.

Loudmouth comedian Chelsea Handler has become infamous throughout the presidency of Donald Trump for flaunting her ignorant political opinions to the world every chance she gets. This week, she showed her stupidity once again when she suggested that it took the coronavirus lockdown for the United States to not have a school shooting for a month.

“Last month was the first March without a school shooting in the United States since 2002. It took all schools to be closed and everyone forced to be inside because of a pandemic, but we finally did it,” Handler tweeted.

Handler ignored the fact that there were more firearm background checks in March than any other time on record, according to Breitbart News. The FBI has stated that there was a record number of 3,740,688 background checks for gun owners, the highest number since background checks for firearm purchases began being carried out in 1998. Despite this surge in gun sales, there were no school shootings and no mass shootings in public areas either.

Handler is so foolish that she does not realize that by posting this tweet, she is only proving the points of those who argue in favor of Second Amendment rights. Those who purchase guns legally pose no threat to the public at large, yet it is these Americans who are punished by the radically leftwing anti-gun laws Handler and her fellow liberals are constantly trying to put in place.

Social media users were quick to call Handler out for her tweet:

Nice try, Chelsea, but this was a major fail!
