The legendary musician Carlos Santana is being hit with backlash after he dared to defy the woke left by declaring that “a woman is a woman and a man is a man” at a recent concert.

‘When God Made You And Me…’
While performing in Atlantic City, New Jersey last month, Santana spoke out against the transgender ideologies that have become prevalent in this country. Though he made these comments during a concert on July 28, the clip of his remarks only surfaced on social media this week, according to Fox News.
“When God made you and me, before we came out of the womb, you know who you are and what you are,” Santana said. “Later on, when you grow out of it, you see things, and you start believing that you could be something that sounds good, but you know it ain’t right.”
“Because a woman is a woman and a man is a man. That’s it,” he added. “Whatever you want to do in the closet, that’s your business. I’m OK with that.”
Santana went on to defend the comedian Dave Chappelle, who has also faced backlash from the left for comments he’s made about transgenderism.
“I am like this with my brother Dave Chappelle,” Santana stated.

Social Media Users Respond – Santana Issues Statement
The Washington Examiner reported that the backlash from the woke mob for this was swift.
“Such a legendary artist having to spread this hate for what,” one social media commented, with another adding, “He’s over … well he actually never started.”
Others, however, voiced their support for Santana.
“So relieved he didn’t fall into the woke crap. Legend,” one person commented, with another supporter adding, “He isn’t wrong.”
“He is preaching truth and nothing less than that, you know what you are naturally,” commented a third user. “So spare me all this identity theft, you all are doing.”
On Thursday, Santana issued a statement to Billboard in which he defended these comments.
“Here is my personal goal that I strive to achieve every day. I want to honor and respect all person’s ideals and beliefs whether they are LGBTQ or not,” he said. “This is the planet of free will and we have all been given this gift.”
“I will now pursue this goal to be happy and have fun, and for everyone to believe what they want and follow in your hearts without fear,” he continued. “It takes courage to grow and glow in the light that you are and to be true, genuine, and authentic. We grow and learn to shine our light with Love and compliments. Have a glorious existence. Peace.”

Santana Apologizes
KTLA reported that on Thursday night, however, Santana posted an apology to Facebook that appears to have since been deleted.
“I am sorry for my insensitive comments,” he wrote. “They don’t reflect that I want to honor and respect all person’s ideals and beliefs. I realize that what I said hurt people and that was not my intent. I sincerely apologize to the transgender community and everyone I offended.”
On Friday morning, Santana took to Facebook once again to write, “The energy of consciousness generates its own kind. Hate begets hate. Love begets love.”

It’s unfortunate that we live in a time when simply declaring that “a woman is a woman and a man is a man” is seen as a cancellable offense. We’re glad to see that Santana appears to have deleted his apology, and we hope that he doesn’t cave to the woke mob moving forward.

Just to be clear, I don’t hate these people, their propaganda disgusts me and I detest them.
I pity them, I am sorry for them, for their sad and angry lives, for the fact that they know they are wrong. If they were right they would, like the rest of us, carry on and let their achievements and successes be their message. But no, they have to attack and compete only against those weaker and less capable than themselves.
Endlessly in business I heard “You are picking on me because I am a woman/different.” and my answer was “No I am picking on you because you made a mistake. You did not do as instructed, you screwed up. Now others have to rectify the problems you created.”
Always apologise to your wife, even (especially) when you are right. Never apologise to any one else when you are in the right.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. If what he said offends you, don’t listen to or read his opinion. You are the minority, not the majority.

I liked Santana. Its a group from my time. They were good. And I agree with him now, a man is a man and a woman is a woman.
I’m really tired of the woke left attacking anyone that, not only doesn’t buy into their B.S., but chooses to be indifferent to the “woes” of their latest victim class. I don’t care if you are gay, bisexual, or into BDSM. Do what you need to do, just don’t expect me to applaud your behavior. Hell, at this late date in my life, I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m bisexual. However, I don’t expect people to applaud me for the fact that, statistically, I’m an outlier. It’s no big deal.
However, I really resent the fact that I’m supposed to treat trans-gender people as heroes facing persecution for what they are. However, if you meet a real trans-sexual, you are unlikely to know it. After all, they are just like anybody else, they only want to live their life in peace and make the best of it as they can. In other words, they’re no different as anybody else. And, no, this is not a backhanded way to out myself as a trans-sexual, I’m bisexual but I firmly identify as a male (I don’t want to give the woke brigade the opportunity to argue that I’m trans-gender and hiding in the closet.)
As a personal belief, I doubt that any of the woke brigade understand what it means to suffer from gender dysphoria. They’re too self-righteous to engage in the empathy needed to understand the real issues.
They are also hypocritical as hell. The demand that I follow the science when it comes to climate change, but they refuse to accept genetic science. Genetic science says, that, biologically there are on two sexes, male and female. Anything else is a genetic anomaly. Of course, a person can believe that they are, either a male in a female body or a female in a male body, but that doesn’t change the fact that if they bear XY chromosomes they are biologically male and if they bear XX chromosomes, they are female.
Of course, the woke left is more than willing to tell you that gender is a social construct and, therefore, irrelevant to a conversation dealing with trans-sexuality. However, probably since the first dictionary, sex and gender have been regarded as synonyms. Yes, usage changes, however any honest dictionary should, not that they do, only define a change in the language when it comes into common usage.
Usage of a certain term by a minority shouldn’t require a change in the accepted meaning of a word until the majority accepts it. Of course, over the last few years, left and right included, have chosen to modify the meaning of words to support their agenda.
He’s right. God made Adam & Eve to start life. Boys become men, girls grow into women to procreate. God sent fire to destroy the wickedness for those who believed otherwise. Kind of like what is going on now. Take heed Canada & TX!
