The legendary Beach Boys singer Mike Love is speaking out this week to take a jab at Budweiser and the FBI while also mocking his own possible cancellation for daring to sing his band’s “gender-specific” songs like “Surfer Girl.”

Love Sounds Off

Viral video from a recent Beach Boys concert shows Love introduce “Surfer Girl” by taking shots at Budweiser and the FBI from going woke.

“At any rate, this next song I’m a little concerned about doing this on account of its gender specific. Hope there’s nobody from Budweiser here,” Love said as the audience burst out laughing.

“Or the FBI. Sorry, I apologize in advance for anything I might say or do because it’s a family tradition you know what I’m saying. OK, this song is dedicated to all the ladies here,” he concluded as the song began to play.

Beach Boys And Republicans

Unlike many other music acts, The Beach Boys have not been afraid to have ties to Republicans, as the band played at inaugural balls for both Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush. In a September of 2016 interview, Love described Donald Trump as a personal friend, adding that the two don’t agree on everything politically.

“He’s been a friend for a long time,” Love told the New York Post at the time. “Does that mean I agree with everything he says? No. But . . . if we were asked [to play his inauguration], I’m sure that we would.”

After Trump won the 2016 presidential election, The Beach Boys considered his invitation to play at his inauguration festivities.

“The Beach Boys have been asked to perform as part of the inauguration festivities,” a representative of the band told Billboard at the time. “But no decision has been made at this point as to how or whether they will participate. We will let you know as soon as a decision is final.”

Love Stands By Trump

Love ended up attending Trump’s inauguration and performing at one of his inaugural balls.

“I don’t have anything negative to say about the President Of The USA,” Love told Uncut afterwards. “We did attend the inauguration. That was a moving experience.”

“I understand there are so many factions and fractious things going on – the chips will fall where they may. But Donald Trump has never been anything but kind to us,” he continued. “We have known him for many a year. We’ve performed at some of his venues at fundraisers and so on.”

Love remained loyal to Trump throughout his presidency, performing with some of The Beach Boys at a fundraiser for the then-president in October of 2020, according to Fox News.

Love’s jab at Budweiser was seemingly a reference to its parent company Anheuser-Busch losing billions in the wake of Bud Light teaming up with the transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney for an ad campaign earlier this year. Under President Joe Biden, the FBI is more woke than ever when it comes to gender, which is likely why Love brought the bureau into his comments as well.

Love clearly agrees with millions of Americans that this woke nonsense has gone way too far. We applaud him for having the guts to speak out about it, and this only makes us want to attend a Beach Boys concert even more than we already did!
