Biden’s Approval Rating Plunges To 38% – And Kamala’s Is Even Worse

President Biden's approval rating took another dive in the latest USA TODAY/Suffolk University poll, with Vice President Kamala Harris and Democrats in Congress getting some bad news as well.

President Biden’s approval rating took another dive in the latest USA TODAY/Suffolk University poll, with Vice President Kamala Harris and Democrats in Congress getting some bad news as well.

While Biden’s low approval rating is somewhat in line with former President Trump’s at this stage, the disapproval rate is significantly higher.

The current President sports a 37.8% approval rating with a 59% disapproval – more than 11 points underwater.

It gets worse from there.

Forty-six percent of those surveyed said Biden has been doing a worse job than they could have imagined, and 64% said they don’t want Biden to run for reelection in 2024.

Biden’s Approval Rating Is Bad – Kamala’s Is Worse

The rest of the USA Today/Suffolk University poll didn’t offer much solace for Biden’s next in line, Kamala Harris, either.

Harris has a 28% approval rating with 51% disapproving of her performance since taking office, putting her 23 percentage points underwater.

Biden meanwhile, is catching flak for the border debacle, the Afghanistan withdrawal that led to 13 Americans killed in a terrorist attack and hundreds left behind enemy lines, onerous vaccine mandates, and reports of payments to illegal immigrants while Americans suffer due to inflation and supply chain issues.

Biden and Harris are clearly on a sinking ship.

2022 Looking Bleak

The sinking ship of Biden and Harris’s approval ratings could have a deleterious effect on congressional Democrats heading into the 2022 midterms.

Even NBC’s Chuck Todd seems to see the writing on the wall.

The same poll gives Republicans a 46%-to-38% advantage on a generic congressional ballot.

Fox News writes, “Congressional Democrats … may face an uphill battle to preserve their razor-thin majorities unless something significant changes before Election Day on Nov. 8, 2022.”

The poll also gives dismal ratings for Congressional Democrats – just 29% approving of their work.

President Biden, despite his approval ratings tanking, was able to celebrate a big victory after several Republicans handed him his $1.3 trillion “infrastructure” bill last week, something this poll suggests 61% of Americans support.

Biden and the First Lady shared a moment to celebrate this weekend on a Delaware Beach.

The infrastructure victory came after an Election Day massacre in Virginia for Democrats and will likely have little effect on the ballot box in 2022.

Instead, legendary Democratic strategist James Carville suggested the party move away from extremist progressives in order to get back in good graces.

“What went wrong is stupid wokeness. Don’t just look at Virginia and New Jersey. Look at Long Island, Buffalo, look at Minneapolis, even look at Seattle, Washington,” he surmised.

“I mean this ‘defund the police’ lunacy, this take Abraham Lincoln’s name off of schools, people see that,” added Carville. “And it really has a suppressive effect all across the country on Democrats.”

66% of poll respondents also indicated that the United States is headed in the wrong direction.
