Biden: ‘We Must End The Politics And Misinformation

“We must end the politics and misinformation that’s divided families, communities in the country, and it’s cost too many lives already,” Biden said.

The president tried to empathize with those who have lost loved ones to this sickness and used his own personal grief as an example.

“I promise you,” Biden said. “The day will come when the memory of the loved one you lost will bring a smile to your lips before a tear to your eye.”

Biden said the nation will be able to come together better through these massive losses.

“As we all remember, I also ask us to act, to remain vigilant, to stay socially distanced, to mask up, to get vaccinated when it’s your turn,” the president said.

President Biden Urges Optimism

Biden urged the country to remain optimistic.

“While we’ve been humbled, we’ve never given up, we are America, we can and will do this,” Biden said.

“This nation will smile again, this nation will know sunny days again, this nation will know joy again,” he added.

Was Biden’s Seemingly Cheap Shot At Trump Necessary? That’s Not ‘Unity’

As Biden left the White House with First Lady Jill Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, “Amazing Grace” was played by the military band.”

It was a fitting speech for the President of the United States in this unique moment in our history, but one could argue it was undermined by the seemingly cheap shots at the last president.
