Biden: It’s Trump’s Fault That We Have Coronavirus

Former Vice President Joe Biden claimed that President Trump was somehow to blame for the coronavirus pandemic, not China.

“We’re Paying the Price”

In a tweet on Thursday, Biden argued that the country is now “paying the price” for President Trump eliminating the White House National Security Council Directorate for Global Health Security and Biodefense which the Obama administration had created to “prepare for future pandemics like COVID-19.”

Biden was fact-checked by Joel Pollak in Breitbart, saying that the former vice president was “very wrong.” The truth was explained by former National Security Council official Tim Morrison earlier this week in the Washington Post, explaining that the office was reorganized and combined with other offices but did not affect the “biodefense staff” at all.

“This falsehood almost deserves an entirely separate category of ignominy because of its ability to divide and frighten people in the middle of a crisis that requires social cooperation and trust,” Pollak wrote.

Biden is Totally Wrong!

This isn’t the first time that Biden has been completely wrong on the coronavirus. In January, President Trump banned travel from China in an attempt to crack down on the spread of the disease from the source. At a campaign rally, Biden slammed the decision by the President as racist and xenophobic.

“In moments like this, this is where the credibility of a president is most needed, as he explains what we should and should not do,” Biden said, arguing that “this is no time for Donald Trump’s record of hysteria and xenophobia, hysterical xenophobia, to uh, and fear mongering.”

Last year, before the pandemic broke, Biden argued that China wasn’t actually a threat in the 21st Century, and that they were “not our problem.”

“I’ve met virtually every major world leader in the last 40 years — not hyperbole, fact,” the former Vice President said in October. “We talked about China. I said China is not our problem. China is not our problem if we invest and remember who we are. Imagine the situation — I’ve spent more time with Xi Jinping than any world leader had before I left the vice presidency.”

It’s this attitude that proves Biden would do a terrible job if he ever gained the keys to the White House. Anyone who can’t recognize the threat that China poses should not be in charge of our national security.
