Add another speech to the books that legacy media will pass off as “gaffe-filled” rather than admit that President Joe Biden’s mental health is in significant decline.
While making remarks about expanding access to mental health care to reporters on Tuesday, Biden appeared to make the mind-numbing claim that his administration cured cancer.
The President has repeatedly vowed to “end cancer as we know it.”
His remarks, however, seem to indicate his administration has made much further progress than anticipated.
“One of the things I’m always asked is, you know, why Americans have sort of lost faith for a while in being able to do big things – ‘If you could do anything at all, Joe, what would you do?'” he explained.
“I said, ‘I’d cure cancer,'” continued Biden.
“They looked at me like, ‘Why cancer?’ Because no one thinks we can, that’s why. And we can,” he added. “We ended cancer as we know it.”

Fact-Checkers Clean Up Biden’s Cancer Mess
Watching the fact-checkers spring into action around every possible corner for President Biden is remarkable. And his cancer remarks were no different.
The official White House transcript gets the ball rolling by correcting what the President said.
If you click on the link, you’ll see their claim that Biden said: “We can end cancer as we know it.”
Except, he didn’t. Listen with your own ears to what is said in the video.
Newsweek then used the erroneous official transcript to blame conservatives for spreading a clip about Biden “supposedly” saying he cured cancer.
The dementia is so bad that now he thinks he cured cancer.

First of all, fact-checkers, a transcript is, by definition, a retelling of words that were actually spoken. Not a copy of the comments he was supposed to make, a wish list of things that actually came out of his mouth. So the transcript is wrong.
And if you were an actual “fact” checker, you’d point out that yes, he did claim he cured cancer, but perhaps slipped up in his delivery, and then you’d point out that the transcript was false.
If Trump had made such a bombastic claim they would have been all over it.

President Biden Mocked
Having clarified the fact-checker mistake, we can now take a look at the mockery that ensued. We’ll start along those lines with comedian Tim Young.

Conservative commentator Rogan O’Handley chimed in by stating Biden is “an international joke.”
Biden just announced that he’s cured cancer
Yes, he seriously did

Omri Ceren, an adviser to Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), wondered why adults haven’t “intervened” on Biden’s behalf.
At this point, yes, it’s elder abuse.
Who is briefing him and what are they telling him and why haven’t adults intervened? https://t.co/RI4PKVBIU5

The Media Research Center cleverly ran its own fact-check of the comments.

During the same set of remarks, President Biden claimed there is “no distinction” when it comes to breaking one’s arm and mental health issues. Which is super odd since those suffering from such ailments are sent to two very different doctors.
“And, folks, you know, I don’t know what the difference between breaking your arm and having a mental breakdown is. It’s health,” he said. “There is no distinction.”

I’m sure the first three words of that statement – “I don’t know” – hold true with a lot of what Biden says.
In another clip from the same speech, Biden significantly slashed the number of people who have been killed by COVID.

Over 100 people dead! Whoa. Amazingly, the White House transcript wasn’t quite as subtle in its correction:
We’re still feeling the profound loss of the pandemic. As I mentioned, we have over
100[1 million] people dead. That’s100[1 million] empty chairs around the kitchen table. Every single loss, there are so many people left behind and broken-hearted.
One hundred, one million – tomato, tomahto.
In 2022, Biden sent his White House staff into cleanup mode when he appeared to make the claim that he, at the time, had cancer.

To nobody’s surprise, the fact-checkers bailed him out then as well.
Their backs must get awfully tired from having to carry so much water for this man every single day.
