A quick snapshot of some new polling numbers concerning Joe Biden’s signature ‘Build Back Better’ plan, and what effect Americans think the President has had on the nation, are not good.
A new poll from Rasmussen shows that 51% of likely American voters opposed the bill full of spending on government programs and climate change agenda items. Of those, 40% strongly opposed it.
Unless the parts for Build Back Better are Made in the U.S.A. this bill is useless. Want to put more people to work, especially this Christmas, buy American. It’s the only way. Think about it.

Americans Not Buying It
There is a portion of people who do support the bill, 42% of those same likely voters.
As inflation rises, and Americans are paying more for everyday staples like food and gas, the effect the spending would have on a struggling economy weighed heavy with some likely voters surveyed.
48% believe the bill will have a harmful effect on the economy, and 35% think it will be a boon for the economy.
It seems some have not gotten the message:
Americans overwhelmingly support the provisions in the Build Back Better bill… and they are counting on us to deliver. Let's. Get. It. Done.

Division Of Americans On Biden’s Shoulders
Perhaps worse for Biden is that Americans believe that the President is responsible for the deep division in the country.
Another new poll from the Trafalgar Group shows that 54% hold Joe Biden responsible for the chasm among Americans.
Others say not so fast. Of those surveyed, 46% said they did not believe Biden had much to do with division.
So much for unity and healing: A new poll from the Trafalgar Group shows a majority of Americans blame President Biden for America's political division. https://t.co/EDJymiwtPR

What It Might Mean For Biden And Democrats In 2022
Joe Biden campaigned from his basement as a center-left candidate during the 2020 presidential election.
He promised to be a president of “healing and unity” for the nation. Clearly the poll numbers are not bearing that out. There is a belief that Joe Biden is being manipulated by the far-left of the Democrat Party and has felt the need to go further in that direction.
Mark Penn, former political strategist and advisor to Bill Clinton has tried to warn his Party that bowing to the far-left and continuing to blame Donald Trump are not winning strategies for 2022. He recently wrote in the New York Times:
“If Democrats remain on their current course and keep coddling and catering to progressives, they could lose as many as 50 seats and control of the House in the 2022 midterm elections. Yelling ‘Trump, Trump, Trump’ when Mr. Trump is not on the ballot or in office is no longer a viable campaign strategy.”
