Conservatives are having a hard time with free speech on the campus of U.C. Berkeley. Now we find out the city’s mayor, Jesse Arreguin, is blaming Trump supporters for the hatred and violence that is occurring.
The mayor is a member of BAMN’s FaceBook page (BAMN – Coalition to Defend Affirmative Action, Integration, and Immigrant Rights and Fight for Equality By Any Means Necessary), which might explain his refusal to protect conservative speakers. BAMN and ANTIFA are violent extreme “revolutionaries.”
If you want to know who is responsible for the hate and violence, look no further than this mayor. Trump supporters did not start the violence in Berkeley. Also, countless observers at the rally said the few police there had obviously been told to stand down and allow the violence to occur.
Here’s what you don’t get to do and that is blame Trump supporters for these psychotic anarchists’ actions. This mayor needs to be removed immediately as he is a hazard to the community.

From his fifth-floor suite of offices overlooking the park, Berkeley Mayor Jesse Arreguin had a first-hand view of the gathering of far right demonstrators.
He has struggled to come to terms with how to deal with the combatants who continue to use Berkeley as their stage.
“We’re a surrogate for the resistance against the Trump administration certainly, and for progressive values, ” he said.
“It’s not lost on me that I’m Berkeley’s first Latino mayor. I have been outspoken against the Trump administration,” he said. “I have to wonder if the mayor was white, would we see such hate.”
It’s pretty sad that Mayor Arreguin, the college and the police department, felt it was more important to restrict opposing views than it was to protect people’s safety and enforce the law.
He also has tried to grapple with the presence of extremist anti-fascist groups in his city.
Arreguin said conservatives, including Ann Coulter, have been able to parlay the clash between anti-fascist and nationalist demonstrators to their own advantage.
“It’s engineered intense animosity against Berkeley and that’s a narrative they keep putting out there,” he said.
The mayor’s personal nightmare, he said, is that eventually someone will get killed in one of the violent clashes.
This video below alleges the Berkeley Mayor had a secret meeting to stifle conservative voices. If this is true, he should be removed from office.
Police officers retreated and allowed for the attacks and damage to continue without any intervention. I guess to “protect and serve” is up for bid in Berkeley?
It’s time for a lawsuit. Hit this Mayor where it hurts and give them a taste of their own medicine. He helped to violate conservative free speech rights and potentially endangered the lives of our prominent speakers.

Mr. Mayor, obviously you do not understand that IT IS YOUR JOB and that of your police department to keep the citizens in your City and also visitors to your city (including Milo Yianopoulos and Anne Coulter). You have failed to do your job properly. Do the citizens in your city need to elected a co-chair governor to help you? Most mayors resign if they can’t handle the job; but it you do not resign, then it seems to me that you need someone to help you, someone who can come up with a plan which allows people to come to your city and college and present their speeches, etc. This is called Freedom of Speech! It is up to you and your police department to keep down riots (peaceful marches are fine), but you must keep the people that come to your city and your citizens SAFE. I am a little scrawny little woman of 98 pounds, but I believe I could handle these kind of issues. The first step: is YOU HAVE TO WANT TO keep the people safe. Step Two: when peaceful marches turn into riots and vandalism, put the water hoses on them, then arrest these people, and do it quickly. For starters, fine them and jail them (& keep them in jail for a long time, at least 30 days). Keep them long enough so that when they finally get out of jail, a “peaceful march” (which is really, they think, is a license to commit vandalism in the streets and buildings, and to harm the people, and people, as long as they are not a part of their gang. I am sure a lot of people in authority positions would know how to handle these kind of “no-so-peaceful” marches. Think rationally for once.

We already know for fact that the rioters at the Yianopuolis protests were paid rightwing actors. paid by Brietbart and Yianopoulis himself. I have NO doubts that there are a FEW leftists that are out of control and SHOULD be ibn jail but the large majority of the unrest is the work of the fascist right to try and discredit the legal and constitutional right of peaceful protest.

I have noticed that California is filling up with illegals, paranoid lefties, gangsters, rioters,, leftists, anarchists, under-educated, druggies, crazies and other surreptitious people. The wackos go from Gov. Brown on down to the people who demonstrate or beat people up for pay (hired by George Soros wackos). On my last trip to San Francisco, I swore I will never go to California again. I have some friends thee who are good people, but they are swamped by the other kind.
I feel so sorry for the rational minded people who can’t escape because they can’t afford to move. Those people have to watch all the liberal bias grow and ferment around them. I wish there was a fund that would help them escape. Then we could try to make the San Andreas fault crack and let California float away.

What kind of police chief would allow his department to stand down during riots, no matter what he was being told to do by this wack job mayor? A stand down order, in the presence of violence, is not a legal order and should have been immediately challenged by the police chief and also the officers. What a country we have become.
