Attorney General William Barr mocked and slammed the media, calling them “completely irresponsible” during his interview on MSNBC.
Barr was speaking about how the media pushed how then-candidate Donald Trump had colluded with the Russians to defeat Hillary Clinton for the Oval Office in 2016. The Mueller investigation has debunked that, but Democrats don’t hear it.

It is long overdue. They conspired to spy on a president and tried to sabotage his administration, and that can’t go unpunished.

Barr said he believes the FBI may have acted in “bad faith” in opening the investigation.
“I think there were gross abuses … and inexplicable behavior that is intolerable in the FBI,” Barr told NBC News. “I think that leaves open the possibility that there was bad faith.”
The report said FBI agents working the case failed to disclose exculpatory information regarding Page and George Papadopoulos, another former Trump aide. FBI agents also withheld information that called the credibility of dossier author Christopher Steele into question.
Barr doubled down in the interview on remarks he made earlier this year that he believes the U.S. government spied on Trump campaign associates.
“It was clearly spied upon,” Barr said of the FBI’s actions towards the Trump campaign. “That’s what electronic surveillance is … going through people’s emails, wiring people up.” [Daily Caller]

Barr: “This is George Papadopoulos, and this was described by the foreign officials who heard him as — who couldn’t remember exactly what was said — but it was characterized as a suggestion of a suggestion. He suggested that there has been a suggestion from the Russians that they had some adverse information to Hillary, which they might dump in the campaign.”
“But what was going on in May? You may recall that we were in the thick of the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s secret server and the media was full of stories and the blogosphere was full of stories and political circles in Washington were full of stories and speculation that the Russians had, in 2014, two years before, hacked into her secret server and were, therefore, in a position to drop this stuff during the election.
In fact, the day before this comment was made, in a bar, Fox News was reporting that their sources told them there was a debate going on in the Russian government as to whether or not to drop this Hillary Clinton emails between the intelligence agency and the foreign ministry, but that related to Hillary’s server.”

Whether this leads to people being appropriately punished or not, that was a devastating interview for the people who were involved in the coup. The Attorney General is not messing around, folks.

If anyone is surprised that this goes all the way to Barack Obama, then they haven’t been paying attention. But all or most will get away with this in the end. Treason should be the charge, but don’t see it happening “for the sake of the nation.”
The term “swamp” doesn’t do justice to the level of corruption that is rampant in the State Dept., CIA, FBI, & sadly, even in the Defense Dept. Once trust in these institutions is lost, this country is headed for dark times.
