Michelle Caruso-Cabrera, a former anchor for CNBC and current challenger for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ congressional seat, is slamming the socialist as “out of touch.”
In a wide-ranging criticism of New York’s resistance darling, Caruso-Cabrera took particular exception with AOC’s recent vote against the small business stimulus bill.
AOC was the lone House Democrat to vote against a $484 billion aid package to help small businesses and hospitals last week.
Caruso-Cabrera slammed Ocasio-Cortez for her vote, as well as other decisions she has made that have been detrimental to her constituents, including efforts to chase Amazon out of New York and killing tens of thousands of jobs.
“If she really cared, she would’ve come home after that last vote,” Caruso-Cabrera said according to Yahoo. “If she really cared, she wouldn’t drive away 25,000 jobs like she did.”
“If she really cared, she wouldn’t be telling the poorest people in her district not to go back to work like she did earlier this week,” the registered Democrat and descendant of Cuban immigrants continued.
“She’s out of touch to tell people who are desperate for food that they shouldn’t go back to work. How out of touch can you be?”

Remarkable as it may seem, Caruso-Cabrera is correct – AOC did tell people they should refuse to go back to work.
While most of the nation is clamoring to get back to their jobs, she urged Americans to boycott their employers when the coronavirus crisis clears.
“When we have this discussion about going back or reopening, I think a lot people should just say ‘no’- we’re not going back to that,” she suggested.
AOC wants you to struggle. She wants businesses to fail because she thinks they’re owned by greedy people. And, like any good socialist, she wants the economy to collapse allowing for a complete government takeover.
“Always dividing, never uniting,” Caruso-Cabrera wrote. “[AOC] is wrong for the times.”

Even the socialist-friendly New York Daily News could not sympathize with AOC over her ‘no’ vote, calling her an “Enemy of the Good.”
They blasted Ocasio-Cortez, calling her lone dissenting vote “terribly wrong” and “not the kind of distinction a rising star legislator should be proud of.”
The News argued against AOC’s constant complaints that legislation or action in Congress isn’t as extreme as she thinks it should be.
“Yeah: The first aid bill didn’t go far enough,” the editorial reads. “Nor did the second. Nor did the third. The fourth didn’t get there either, but the response to crises happen in steps.”
“If everyone said no to each massive package because it didn’t go all the way, we’d all be even deader in the water.”
