Two songs incorporating the ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ theme sweeping the nation are dominating the iTunes charts, featuring four out of the top ten entries for ‘top song,’ including numbers 1 and 2.
More impressive, the anti-Biden songs knocked off the mega-popular singer Adele from her top spot.
BGR News jokes, “President Biden is so popular, the two most popular songs on iTunes right now were written in his honor.”
They are quick to point out that ‘popular’ is a relative term and that the songs are actually very anti-Biden in their nature – as ‘Let’s go Brandon’ represents a euphemism for ‘F*** Joe Biden.’
The inside joke is the result of NBC Sports reporter Kelli Stavast, interviewing NASCAR driver Brandon Brown, was interrupted with a very clear and vociferous chant of “F*** Joe Biden.”
Ever the journalist, Stavast, without missing a beat, tried to tell viewers the crowd was chanting a much more palatable but very incorrect, “Let’s go Brandon.”

Let’s Go Brandon Song Dominates
The top song currently on the iTunes chart is “Let’s Go Brandon (feat. Tyson James & Chandler Crump)” by Bryson Gray, followed by “Let’s Go Brandon (Extended Version)” by Loza Alexander at number two.
The songs have pushed such artists as Adele, Ed Sheeran, and Elton John further down the charts.
Also in the top 10 is the Alexander version of the song which is presumably shorter than the extended at number 4, while a remix version by God’s Child sits at number 7.

Another pair of songs featuring the phrase shows up in the top 100 songs on iTunes – one at 57 and another at 67.

Gray’s version sits atop the entire chart despite having been banned on YouTube and Instagram for spreading “harmful false information.”

All The Rage
It’s truly remarkable that these songs are topping the charts, especially when you consider at least 81 million people aren’t listening to it, right?
Right?
And yet, it’s becoming a cultural phenomenon.
“The phrase has spread like wildfire across social media, as well as the internet, for two key reasons,” BGR News reports.
“One is that, thanks to the episode after the NASCAR race, the phase serves as a kind of euphemistic stand-in for a more vulgar insult to President Biden,” they continue. “Tell a Biden critic ‘Let’s go, Brandon,’ and he or she will know exactly what you mean.”
In other words, you can get away with dropping an expletive against the very unpopular President without actually doing so.
“The phrase is also a succinct addendum that can accompany any piece of anti-Biden … anything,” the column adds.
And that’s exactly what is happening.
One young man went viral earlier this month when he shouted ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ into a microphone while announcing the start of a race in New York.

The phrase has shown up outside of the speedways as well.
Retired U.S. Marine James Kilcer became a social media star after video surfaced of him disarming a robbery suspect at a gas station in Yuma, Arizona.
Kilcer hilariously accepted an award from the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office for his “extraordinary heroism and exceptional courage” while wearing a “Let’s go Brandon” t-shirt.

The phrase has even made its way to the halls of Congress.
Republican Congressman Jeff Duncan of South Carolina wore a “Let’s Go Brandon” mask on the House floor.

Representative Bill Posey (R-FL) actually used the phrase during a speech on the House floor.
“Don’t build it back, put it back the way it was and leave it the hell alone,” he said mocking the President’s favorite slogan.
Posey then raised a fist and said, “Let’s go Brandon.”

President Brandon’s approval rating currently sits at a dismal 42 percent, and was recently as low as 38 percent in a Quinnipiac poll earlier this month with a clear majority saying the administration is simply not competent.
The President had negative approval for his handling of the military, taxes, foreign policy, immigration, and the Mexican border, but also struggled in two key areas that were trending upward as he entered office.
55 percent of Americans disapprove of the way he is handling the economy (compared to 39 percent who approve) while a solid 50 percent view his handling of COVID negatively.

As the Bryson Gray song goes:
“Let’s go, Brandon and it’s clear that man a wreck / Let’s go, Brandon, now the Taliban a threat.”
…
“FJB is the motto in these streets / Let’s go Brandon, sing it with me.”
Dominating the charts, it’s safe to assume many people are singing along.
