I was in the military for eight years, and I know the intense rivalry between the Air Force, Navy, Army, and the Marines. I knew that it was rough in every branch of military, and every branch thought they were the best. But I can’t even imagine carrying that rivalry into my golden years!
This great and funny video shows two old-timer military veterans go to battle against each other. But they aren’t fighting a war – they’re fighting for something much better! This is one of the best videos that I’ve seen in the last month or so, and I want to share it with you.

A Navy Veteran’s daily routine of putting up the flag in a retirement community is interrupted when an Army Veteran moves in across the courtyard. They begin a war of one-upmanship as they fight to beat each other to the flag each morning.
Available for the first time on Facebook, this 10 minute short film depicts the true-life rivalry between the different divisions of the U.S. Armed Forces and the bond and respect that all Veterans share from having served under one flag.
That’s the kind of fight I can get behind! LOL!
What did you think about their desire to one-up each other on just who was more patriotic? It all turned out great in the end, as it should.
Our military members love our country beyond measure. We cherish her and look to protect her whenever necessary. These men in the video show a lighter side to how we battle each other, but when it comes down to the end, we’re all one unit fighting together, and that is what’s important.
