President Biden’s economy is so bad that the Wall Street Journal is running money-saving tips for those struggling to cope, advising them to skip breakfast.

Remember when you were young and your mother would send you off to school? But not before eating breakfast. Why? Because it was ‘the most important meal of the day.’

No more, thanks to Bidenomics.

The Journal on Tuesday ran a headline that reads: “To Save Money, Maybe You Should Skip Breakfast.”

The column outlines how several breakfast staples have seen sharp price increases and quickly points the finger of blame at bad weather – because that’s never happened before – bird flu, and of course, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Inflation Hotter Than Expected

The Wall Street Journal breakfast column was published on the same day that the latest inflation report indicated more suffering for the American people.

The rate came in ‘hotter’ than expected with a year-over-year measure of 6.4% in January, as month-to-month inflation jumped 0.5%.

Fear not, peasants. For the dramatic price increases are only off the charts for certain items … like those necessary to live.

Food is up 10.1%, shelter is up 7.9%, and energy is up 8.7%. But who needs those little ol’ things?

President Biden sees those numbers and thinks – Good stuff, Jack.

“We have more to do, but here at home, inflation is coming down,” he said during his State of the Union Speech, one week before inflation went back up.

“Here at home, gas prices are down $1.50 a gallon since their peak. Food inflation is coming down. Inflation has fallen every month for the last six months while take-home pay has gone up,” added Biden.

Some points:

  • Gas prices are significantly higher since Biden took office. The ‘peak’ he references was under his watch and is an arbitrary measuring point.
  • Food inflation is not down, as mentioned above.
  • Take-home pay is getting massacred by inflation – Year-over-year real wages have now been negative for 22 straight months.

Wall Street Journal – Who Needs Breakfast?

The Wall Street Journal’s advice to skip breakfast is a natural extension of President Biden’s own advice. You know, to just go out and start buying generic Raisin Bran – no joke!

“You’re going to see people not buying Kellogg’s Raisin Bran. You’re going to see them buying other raisin bran, which is going to be a dollar cheaper,” Biden predicted several months ago.

It took no time at all to go from ‘just by cheaper Raisin Bran’ to ‘Raisin Bran? Who needs Raisin Bran?’

In case you’re wondering, the Wall Street Journal and President Biden advising you on either having a garbage breakfast or no breakfast at all isn’t a new concept. The media and Democrats have been advising folks struggling with money to make concessions throughout this entire presidency.

This past Thanksgiving, Bloomberg News reported that families may have to consider replacing their traditional turkey with lighter food items such as soup, salad, or even pizza.

Former Democrat Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (NY) advised struggling families to tighten up their finances and start eating Chef Boyardee.

Bloomberg, again coming to Biden’s defense last year, told Americans to suck it up and switch their diets from meat to vegetables. Let them eat lentils!

Oh, and who does this affect the most? Seniors.

Per The New York Times, millions of seniors can’t afford enough food as Social Security fails to keep up with inflation and grocery prices surge by 11.3%.

It’s pretty easy to see from those numbers why seniors are struggling. Along with the rest of America.

How long will it be before lunch and dinner are on the chopping block altogether in this economy?

Now is the time to support and share the sources you trust.
