Vivek Ramaswamy made some bold claims about a potential political alliance between Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley.

He believes that there is a plan to narrow the primaries to a two-horse race between Donald Trump and Nikki Haley, with the ultimate goal of eliminating the former President from contention.

Ramaswamy expressed his thoughts in a video that was posted to social media on Wednesday in which he contends the plot is to “eliminate Trump” and for the GOP to “trot their puppet into the White House.”

The biotech engineer, who has made a surprising impact on the Republican primary race, predicts that DeSantis will join Haley’s ticket as her vice presidential candidate.

“Ron may not know it yet, but he won’t have a say in the matter,” said Ramaswamy.

Is Ramaswamy Onto Something?

Republican presidential candidate Ramaswamy’s claim that DeSantis and Haley will join forces to “eliminate Trump” comes as former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie announced he was leaving the race.

Christie was famously urged by Ramaswamy at a GOP debate back in December to “enjoy a nice meal and get the hell out of this race.”

Apparently, he’s complied.

Christie’s departure is widely viewed as an attempt to consolidate his voters behind Haley so that she can capture a larger share when the New Hampshire primary rolls around in late January.

Haley, according to a CNN poll, has trimmed Trump’s lead in the Granite State to single digits. The thinking out of her camp is that a respectable showing in Iowa followed by a shocking win in New Hampshire will make it a legitimate two-horse race.

DeSantis Has Said He Would Not Team Up With Haley

Christie, as evidenced by recent hot mic comments, doesn’t think that the Haley push is a legitimate effort to take out Trump.

“She’s going to get smoked, you and I both know this,” he is heard predicting. “She’s not up to this.”

Christie is also heard saying that DeSantis had called him before the audio cuts out.

The person Christie is conversing with additionally states that DeSantis is “probably getting out after Iowa.”

Will that be to join forces with Haley as Ramaswamy contends?

For now, there is one big hole in the prediction. DeSantis, in an interview with Fox News, said that he would not accept the role of Vice President for Haley “under any circumstances.”

“I would much rather do my final two years as governor, 2025 and 26, than be vice president,” he claimed. “I don’t think it’s a position that offers much, I want to make an impact.”

“I think the nearer term game is they’re going to take a shot at trying to make this a two-horse race between Donald Trump and Nikki Haley,” Ramaswamy told Trump advocate Laura Loomer.

“That’s what everybody in the establishment, including the Mainstream Media, the Republican Establishment, and the Donor Class, is rooting for, and I’m here to make sure they don’t get away with that,” he continued.
