‘Unity President’ Biden Criticizes Two Democrat Senators For Voting ‘More With My Republican Friends’

On Tuesday, Joe Biden took a swipe at two Democrat Senate members that the president said “vote more with” his “Republican friends.”

Biden, who has often spoken of “unity” and coming together, made his partisan political remarks during a commemoration of the centennial of the 1921 Tulsa Massacre.

Biden: GOP Efforts A ‘Truly Unprecedented Assault On Our Democracy’

Biden highlighted the “right to vote” in one part of his speech, and attacked GOP election integrity efforts as trying “to replace nonpartisan election administrators and to intimidate those charged with tallying and reporting the election results.”

Biden insisted that this was a “truly unprecedented assault on our democracy.”

After urging Congress to take action, Biden then brought up “all the folks on TV” who he keep asking questions about why he hasn’t gotten “this done.”

Biden seemed to be pointing at two Democrat senators with a reputation for bipartisanship, Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema.

Both Manchin and Sinema supporting keeping the filibuster.

Biden Takes Aim At Two Democrats

Biden said, “I hear all the folks on TV saying, ‘why doesn’t Biden get this done?”

“Well, because Biden only has the majority of effectively four votes in the House and a tie in the Senate, with two members of the Senate who vote more with my Republican friends,” Biden said.

He added, “But we’re not giving up.”

Manchin and Sinema have broken with most of their party on other issues, but also, specifically, efforts by Democrats to eliminate the filibuster rule.

In January, A Sinema spokesperson said she “is not open to changing her mind about eliminating the filibuster.”

Manchin Defends The Filibuster

Manchin explained his support for keeping the filibuster in an April op-ed in the Washington Post.

“The filibuster is a critical tool to protecting [minority] input and our democratic form of government,” Manchin wrote.

Just last year, Democrats used the filibuster an historic number of times to block Republican efforts.

  1. Biden is the true threat to our way of life in America. He said in the campaign that he will be the president of all Americans, right or left. That was a big fat lie ! He doesn’t give a damn about conservative America, the only ones he represents is the hardcore socialist, marxists of the democrat party!!!

  2. Should we all unite and demand that we should not be required to have a I.D. for anything including travel on a air plane, even while traveling abroard. I shouldn't need proof for buying alcohol, guns or medicine. Let's do away with I.D.'s altogether. Those reasons are no more important to the future of this nation than honest elections. Think about it. Thieves and murderers don't buy their guns and ammo in stores. They buy them stolen from other criminals or they steal it themselves, so why punish those that are trying to defend themselves. Illegal voting is when there is unfettered and unchecked illegal voting. It occurs when those that are voting are illegal, criminals, voting at the wrong district or voting in numerous districts or states, someone collecting and using ballots to serve their voting choices. As Mayor Daley did for years, use those in the cemetery vote democrat. What is the left afraid of. Every voter has a state issued I.D. or a drivers license. Did they have a bad hair day and don't want anyone to see it. There is NO good reason not to prove who you are.

We know what the Democrat's idea of unity is: Compliance, capitulation and submission. I give this a resounding big middle finger with both hands, Biden.

  4. You only need to look at the Democrats and Biden to get who is assaulting our Democracy. Almost every action Biden has taken is an assault on America's democracy.

  5. First of all, the only Republican friends that Joe Biden has are the RINOs that already vote democrat. Another lie from the daft poser in the oval office.

This "Close To Brain Dead Occupant Of The Oval Office" conveniently forgets he was all for the filibuster before he was against the filibuster –
    he is an incessant liar….

  7. The previous 4 years all you heard was the Republicans were in “lock step” with the administration now they are “upset” when the dems are not in lock step. Sounds right to me these fools think their s..t is ice cream.

  8. Someone please tell our unity president that he needs to try harder. He should not be calling out the two people in his party that have common sense. He will not get their vote that way and he sure as heck has not impressed any republicans other than Cheney.

  9. Most DemocRATs don't understand that if the filibuster is done away with and the GOP controls the Senate in 2022, the DemocRATs will get nothing they want.

Ha! If you ever needed proof that Joe is completely off the reality sphere, this is it. He thinks he has Republican friends. He doesn't even have democrat friends. Joe, those people behind you are string pullers. Period.
